Must and need to keep Arkenstone in cradle - theft prevention solution?

Guten Tag zusammen!

I've had my EX since 6/2025 and I love it.

My two biggest concerns when ordering it sadly came true: Arkenstone "connectivity" or software issues and mediocre support - to put it nicely. I will never contact support again and will never deal with a "ticket" again.

"Sam" has grown up and learned a thing or two by now, so I might contact him in future!

WhatsApp connection just doesn't work (... that's the kind of thing that makes my blood boil...), but I'd love to try it. Someday...

Anyhooo, as the Arkenstone does not do what I expect it to first and foremost - that is SWITCH TO F****** DASH/INSTRUMENT MODE EACH (!!) AND EVERY (!!) TIME I CLICK YOU INTO YOUR CRADLE no matter what my status on the site or the info stored somewhere or ANYTHING else is - I have decided to leave it in the cradle for ever.

Does anybody have an idea how to fix the phone into that cradle in a manner that prevents the "click - gotcha" move and without damaging the cradle, triple clamp or handlebars etc.?

I'll start with some clear tape stuck over it to irritate above "click and grab" - opportunists.

Can you think of any other way to at least - as in any lock - slow down an attempted theft?

Every Idea is hugely appreciated - DANKE! 😃👍🏼

Willkommen, Nachbar!

Not all the EX's have it. But the newer ones have a threaded hole on the right side. If you add a bolt there it can't click out.
If you choose some obscene bolt head for that it will be very hard to steal.
Might ask a certain car builder from Bayern about such a bolt head.

Geen dank buurman ;)

Nee, trotzdem DANKE Erwin!

Ik wist al heel m'n leven dat onze westerbuuren gewoon HET vindingrijkste en slimmste volk hierzo zijn.

Maar een VargYouTuber gewoon next door is alweer iets helemaal anders! 😳

Nieuw abonnement! Merci! 👍🏼

edit: Tjongejonge, jij zit echt in de endurosport hoor! Overal in Europa! 😳

Haha thanks.

We live next to Germany so we had to learn decades ago how to protect our 2 wheelers 😜

Yeah i'm lucky enough to share this hobby with my girlfriend so we can do a lott of Enduro travels.
In a few weeks we'll be in Pascuet (Spain) once again. With German friends we met over there, definitely worth the trip.

Man, you happy bugger. I don't even have a girlfriend at the moment! 😥🤣

I'll try to pn you for a question or two. Feel absolutely free to ignore them, of course, but I think I've bored readers out of their sculls by now...

@Erwin P I believe all EXs have the threaded hole. My bike even came with the factory bolt for it, tiny Allen head... mine is one of the first 40 customer delivered.

PS. Hope you have fun at Pascuet, not ridden there yet, which is a little silly as it's only 100km from my house...

No the demo bike i had didn't, so they figured it out somewhere since high 600's VIN's.

Also 1st of may @Beagle will rent a Stark at Pascuet and join us. Might be a nice mini meeting ;)

Seems weird to have such a small design change so early in production... is the MX1.0 the same cradle? So grabbing whatever was on the shelf at the time.

Would be nice to mob the EX with others (especially as riding off road is currently illegal due to swine fever affecting the boar in Catalunya), but I don't get back home until the evening of the 1st, as I'm visiting my family in the UK.

Mine came with a bolt with a TX10 head. Had to ask Stark support about how to find it in all the paper bags, though. 😄
I don't dare to ride without the tiny bolt in place. I'm afraid I'll get back to the car with no phone... I rarely look at the dash when riding, so I would't notice a missing phone right away.

The MX1.0 is a totally different cradle.

I don't know when they changed it, but i just know they did. Since i had the dealer demo bike and my new one next to one another and they were different.
