New EX rear wheel bearings

Just got my new ex and while going through the bike noticed how much drag is on the rear wheel when it’s on the stand. Is that normal because of the electric motor. My other concern is I can hear the rear wheel bearings almost making a faint click. It goes away when the axle is loosened but when torqued to spec it makes that noise. I’m just wondering if that’s normal on these bikes or if the bearings are getting too much preload on them.

yes, something doesn't sound right there. Are the spacers seated correctly? It also sounds as if the brake disc is dragging once every rotation too, so maybe not everything is lined up as it should be on a new bike. I'd take off the wheel, check how the spacers fit into the oil seal onto the bearing, that should give an indication to if the bearings are seated correctly. Then I'd remove the oil seals and have a look at the bearing too.

the squeaking might also just be that the oil seal lips are dry. put a little grease on them before reinserting the spacers. Is there still a lot of drag on the wheel even without the chain?

Yes everything is seated correctly I have disassembled and greased and checked everything a couple times now, the brake sounds that way because I pushed the piston in to try to isolate the sound without hearing brake drag. I took the wheel off and the seals and everything looked fine visually. The bearings are very stiff but I’m not sure if that’s normal because they are new. There really isn’t that many parts there so it’s got me kind of confused as to what is making the noise. My next step today will be take apart again and put together outside of the swingarm. I have contacted stark but not sure how much they will be able to help.

No spins freely as you would expect with the chain off. Just the noise I will try to grease the seals. I’ve owned a lot of bikes and just not something I have ran into.

dissasembled everything, took the hub seals out and also popped the dust seal off the wheel bearings themself and packed with moly grease. used my heat gun to get the grease to flow into the bearing that seemed to free up the bearings a bit and now the noise is gone.
