So, a couple weeks ago I got the chance to throw a leg over one of these and I knew I shouldn't do it but the temptation was just to much and I just had to know. Honestly, I've been sitting on the sideline here since these first came out, in fact I put money down on one at their first release offering and waited months with no word so I pulled out and have just sat waiting for the right time. Largely, I've been super concerned about range as it's not too uncommon for me to do 50+ mile rides that are fairly aggressive and from what I'm reading these are still not capable of hitting that target range.
Well anyhow, after that test ride I could not stop thinking about it and it just lit a fire "dammit, ugh" well then I started hunting and was able to find a barely used '25 MX 1.2 in the grey color which is what I wanted and the price was too good to pass on. So here I am, a new Varg owner and so far I've done one ride and I've gotta say this is easily the most fun bike I've ever owned and that's just after one ride in crappy dirt conditions, I can only imagine how much better it's going to be in better dirt.
The big downer though is the range, I suspect I'll be lucky to see 40 miles out of a charge and I'll be dealing with range anxiety once I hit 50% everything else though so far is just awesome, oh well except for these stupid "power tubes" what a joke........
I'm also hoping I can figure out a power setting that will allow for snappy hit off the bottom end for getting over trees and techy stuff without having to run 60hp setting as that's just going to get to lose and wild.
