No reason to sell it, too much fun to ride, so keeping it until it dies and then it will have no value, so keep it forever. Maybe after it dies, i will convert it to electric, wait it already is electric so just have to figure out how to fix it.

In that case I'd clean it up and turn it into art somewhere. I have the same plan for my Benelli 900LE.

If Alta disappears, @Mark911 will then become The Alta Tuner. Zero competition from the factory or anyone else. Get ready for 70hp Redshifts with custom programmable controllers. Buy a dead Redshift on Craigslist for $500, send it and and $15K to Mark, and he will send it back with new batteries, new controller, and 70hp.

And like all things Italian, it is amazing when it's running. At 4,300 miles (granted all track miles) the cam chain broke due to a poorly made tensioner. Taking an engine from 9k rpm to 0 in a fraction of a second does "very bad things". Took 2 years and $12k to get it back on the track. I still love it but if it needs anything besides tires, oil changes, and brake pads I'm making a planter out of it

Keeping both till something better comes out. Looks like it might be longer than the life of the battery before someone makes something even close though.
