Reusing used Tesla batteries

Tesla's used 5.3kWh 24V batteries sell for ~$1,400 on eBay. They are pretty small, weigh only 55 lbs, and are almost enough to fully charge the Redshift from empty.

Just add a BMS, a charge controller, a 24V inverter/charger, and perhaps a few fail-safe systems.

There is quite a bit of "DIY Powerwall" videos out there. I was watching some yesterday. Really cool to see how people are repurposing old batteries.
