I don't know if it's already been done, but I think it would be very interested to see a map/chart of general locations/demographics of the sold units.

Mine:
VIN - 8036 (purchased direct from Stark)
Location - USA, Central California
Age - 65 years old
Spec - Red/18" rear wheel/Hand Brake

Thank you for posting. Just 59 away from 10k units, that's pretty impressive.

I wonder what the first number will be for the Varg EX.
Probably start at or near 1, but change some other letter(s) or number(s) in positions 4 through 8.
I think the 8th position is usually the engine type.

Exactly,

digits 1-3 World Manufacturer Identifier: UDU for Stark Future

digits 4-8 Vehicle Descriptor Section: MX1AE, MX1A presumably stands for the Varg, digit 8 for motorisation, E for electric, this section would probably be different for Varg EX so I guess they would start serial numbers from 0.

digit 9: check digit

digit 10 Model year: N is for 2022, P for 2023, R for 2024 (2023-2024 cutoff around 3000)

digit 11 Plant identification: A, their first and only factory so far is in Sant Boi de Llobregat, just outside Barcelona

digits 12-17 Serial Number

Keep in mind these are US VIN so with the delay due to transport from Spain to the US, production numbers are very likely already over 10 000, I'd say more around 11 000.

Europe VIN must be higher so that's probably about 8000 Vargs made in 2024, and I'm sure they have been building up the stock for Varg EX starting deliveries in February.

Estimated delivery for new orders in Europe is 2 months for a Varg and 2.5 months for a Varg EX, they've come a long way since the first Varg deliveries 1.5 years ago.

I spoke yesterday with an Ekho rep (the U.S. distributor) about getting an approximate delivery date for a fully paid EX. He told me that fully paid orders would not be delivered in March (like Stark's website says), and delivery would likely be several months after that.

I noticed that delivery date for US orders, 10th March, is earlier than for Europe, 24th March (as of today).

Do you think he meant several months for new orders or several months for first EX deliveries in the US?

For first U.S. Deliveries.
I'm really hoping having the logistics network, warehouses and everything setup for Varg distribution they would not encounter the same issues with delivery for the EX...

Added difficulty is the road homologation, if it's road legal in one EU country it's road legal all over the EU, does homologation in one state extend to the whole country or is it more tricky?

I just got a VIN for my EX! Ending in

000205.

This is from Ekho via text 2 days ago:
Me: I'm hearing crazy rumors that the EX won't actually get delivered till about May or June to the USA. Does that sound right? Hopefully not! It's cold here and just dreaming of riding.

Ekho: That could be for dealers that are trying to order more EX's. Bikes ordered from us and fully paid are still delivering in March and reservations placed today are delivering in May.

So seems like the timeline is hopefully on schedule.

Hello,

I put a deposit down for the EX when it was announced, with an estimated delivery to where I am in Norway for Feb 10th. I paid in full for my EX early/mid Jan. and the expected delivery date got pushed back to 7th of April.
Apparently they are prioritising fully paid bikes, so I'm a little bummed I didn't pay in full earlier, and that they didn't give us this information at the time.
My production line status is still "not started" and no VIN. I'll update when I see something. Its exciting to see others being given their VIN's now.

That's bad, did you try to push your luck a bit, double check with them that paying in full early-mid January really pushes delivery back to April?

I paid in full first week of Jan.
Still have a prod date of Feb 18th estimated delivery march 10th
I talked to a nearby dealer (4.5 hour round trip drive) and he was estimating first week of March they’ll have stock so was easier for me to just have it shipped direct. Hopefully that doesn’t slow things down

Yea, I sent a few emails but nothing changed. This was the last response.
"We understand your concerns and apologize for any confusion regarding the delivery timeline. Our intention is to ensure a fair and transparent process for all our customers. The adjustment in delivery dates is primarily due to the amount of fully paid orders we received in the meantine, as well as the need to manage production schedules effectively.

We appreciate your understanding and patience in this matter. If there are any changes or updates regarding your delivery, we will make sure to inform you promptly."
