    Factory connection, Ohlins

Any issues using the stock front wheel/spacers/axle with the Ohlins fork? Or did you have to use something else?

Nissan, Volvo, Hyundai ramping down R&D for Internal Combustion Engines

Wow, this is quite the change in direction! I can see investing a larger percentage into hybrid and EV tech, but I didn’t expect them to just give up on ICE so soon. Not exactly sure how accurate the article is, but it certainly signals a major redirection of resources toward electrification...

    Sold 2018 MXR

Sorry for the confusion. Actually meant it as a buying tip for any potential Alta buyers, since it is one of the few ways to tell if a bike has older firmware without MultiTool. Didn't mean to imply that your bike had not been updated. I was just double-checking to see if it had been. Simple...

    Sold 2018 MXR

Might want to double-check on the latest firmware part. Usually the older firmware shows the double-zero for the speed, while the updated firmware shows a single zero when started. That seems to be the one visual cue to tell if a bike has an older firmware, at least as far as I have seen...

    Rear Threaded Axle Block

Maybe the Mojo blocks are just knockoffs of the Bolt branded parts? In any case, the instructions on the Mojo site clearly show and mention the jam nuts. I'd say it doesn't hurt to have them in place, just one more safeguard to make sure the adjusters stay in position and don't vibrate out or...

    Rear Threaded Axle Block

The mojomotosport.com site actually shows them with locking nuts. The instructions also say to use the stock nuts. By the way, the “square” nut is to help unscrew the axle from the stock left side block. I couldn’t figure out where the square nut came into the picture until I read the...

    2018 MXR Suspension

Okay, I learned something interesting about the air forks this week. I've been battling with the front AER 48 forks for a long time now. The forks are much harsher than the rear shock, and they just aren't balanced between front/rear. I've been trying to soften them up for trail riding for a...

STARK VARG (Something new is coming!)

So how did he do in the race? What class did he ride in?

Are you sure it isn't "Steven, with a ph"?

Want to buy Looking for Alta.MX Plastic

Liquid_Performance (on eBay) still has everything except for the right side number plates. Shrouds, fenders, subframes, etc. are all still available. Search for “Alta Motors” on ebay.

First impressions, upgrades, and review of my new 2018 Alta MXR. This bike is AMAZING!

I got a set of these MME Brake and Clutch levers for Christmas. (How did Santa even know I wanted a set???) Finally installed them today. They seem to be nicely engineered. They only tricky part I had during the install was that you have to remove the stock push-rod from the clutch master...

Stark Varg foot or hand brake?

To be fair, their own promotional video shows the bike with BOTH rear brakes. (See green arrows.) Seems only fair that they offer that option to buyers.

How to build and connect a 220/240v to 110/120v adapter for your Alta Rapid Charger

First, I should point out I am NOT an electrician, although it sounds like I might play one on YouTube. So take my advice with the grain of salt you would give for any advice received from some anonymous bloke on the internet that may or may not know squat about what they are talking about...

    Newbie Here!

Yes, I would wire it green to green, black to black, and white to white on a 120v (5-15p) plug. Make sure the green light comes on for the gfci switch. If that comes on, you should be good to plug into the bike. At worst it doesn’t work, but it shouldn’t harm the bike. At best, it charges. I...

    Newbie Here!

I think we are still a bit confused about the bike end of the charger cord not fitting the receptacle in the bike. Can you post a pic of the port under the rubber port cover in front of the seat? It should look like this:

    Newbie Here!

If I'm interpreting the pictures correctly, it looks like the 240v wall plug has been removed from the cable. (See red arrows in the pic below.) They would need to be reconnected. Alternatively, you could just attach a 120v standard wall plug directly to the cable. I'll link a video below...

STARK VARG (Something new is coming!)

Without Josh’s endorsement and testimonial on this, I wouldn’t have plunked down a deposit. Josh has about as much experience with ebikes as anyone in the world, especially Alta. Also, with his insane riding skills, he can put a bike through its paces better than almost any rider out there. So I...

New ALTA Alternative -Stark VARG - From Europe

Well, that makes more sense as far as their business model. The sweet e-bike is just the eye-candy that they sell to you below cost, but they use it to lure you into subscribing to their cell phone service. Maybe Stark Future is NOT a motorcycle company at all! Maybe the slick Swedish dude in...

    My Output Shaft Snapped.

Definitely a screw loose on that one. Replace it with the stock 50hp hampster.
