    Stark VARG suspension choices

I’ve been using this method for years, and it seems to be no trouble at all maintaining my plush ride physique.

    Stark VARG suspension choices

Clearly the answer is not to change the spring rates. Just start hitting the drive-thru more often and put on 20 extra pounds. That will plush up the ride to the perfect comfy zone with zero mechanical changes, and you’ll have a bit of extra crash cushioning to boot.

STARK VARG (Something new is coming!)

@Philip - Do you want to move all of these Stark Varg threads to the new Stark forum you setup, so they are in one spot?

    Withdrawn 2018 MXR 16k

It’s the cleaning bill to get the poo stains off the seat when you see if 80hp is really enough to clear that 200 ft gap and other sketchy shenanigans.

STARK VARG (Something new is coming!)

Josh has some interesting things to say about the Varg vs. the Alta, and what it was like to ride both back to back, etc. He even mentions his stolen Alta, and how he actually does still have his original Alta. Also talks about how reliable the Alta has been, and how he has never done any...

It also depends on if you are using 120v or 240v.

    Withdrawn 2018 MXR 16k

This one, I assume. I hear it is faster than a 450!

STARK VARG (Something new is coming!)

Well, I'm a little peeved that we are still focusing on Lithium batteries when we could be using Uranium to power these bad boys. Then we could really rub the noses of those stupid range-bullies with our glow-in-the-dark mega dirt bikes.

STARK VARG (Something new is coming!)

I see the other rider in the vid besides Josh Hill and Seb Tortelli was our very own Mat Rebeaud. I guess the bike will flip.

STARK VARG (Something new is coming!)

It seems to tick off lots of the shortcomings of The Alta. And it looks gorgeous. Leave it to the Swedes to make a pretty product. I am curious about the potential swapability of the battery, though. Still couldn’t do a long enduro.

STARK VARG (Something new is coming!)

Remember back in the day when companies would just release new products when they were ready? Can nobody just release a product anymore? Why all the hype? Now days we have trailers for movies, and pre-trailers announcing that a new trailer will be dropping soon. And trailer-analysis vids...

    Charging issue

Is the green light on for the GFCI switch on the charger? That needs to be on before you can charge.

California bill could potentially ban portable generators

Actually, since I run mine on propane, it identifies as a BBQ.

California bill could potentially ban portable generators

I’ll just point to the battery in my generator and say it is an electric powered air pump for producing heated air.

California bill could potentially ban portable generators

Well, this would be a seriously twisted interpretation of the law. A lot of people rely on gas generators when experiencing power outages or RV’ing. Leave it to Cali to reach this kind of conclusion. Especially since we are home of the “rolling blackout”...

    Subframe Crack. Worth Replacing?

Well, taking a look at the actual failure point of the subframe, it makes perfect sense why it would fail at these exact points. The cylindrical section where the bolts attach are very solid plastic, even without the metal inserts. But where the subframe transitions to the ribbed structures...

    Subframe Crack. Worth Replacing?

Looks a little worse from underneath. Fortunately I do have a spare subframe. On the downside, I also got to join the f&#%ing stripped brass-insert club as well. Most of them were in the subframe itself, so I just popped them out. But one was in the rear fender, and I was hoping to re-use...

    Subframe Crack. Worth Replacing?

Looks like I’ve now joined the sub-frame crack club on my MXR. Cracks on both sides. I always stand during jumps and bumpy stuff, so it must just be my fat ass. Remember kids: Don’t do crack!

EXR Battery Range 20 Miles - Normal ?

Dude, you had me sweating with range anxiety there, and I wasn’t even riding! This is like an EV version of a Stephen King novel, where the protagonist has a bike with an undead zombie battery, and is being chased by the ghosts of long dead pedestrians pushing broken bikes uphill forever on a...
