**UPDATE So Alta stepped up and is allowing me to ship just the shock for evaluation to one of their dealers/WP service centers. Thought I would share that as they are becoming more accommodating now! Once they get back to me I will let you all know what was found.

The 17mm is the hsc...I know no hsr. I believe alta recommends 2 turns out on hsc. I actually have a drc bleed funnel for wp shocks but if I know exactly which brand and wt they used I may just completely go up to next wt or maybe mix it like you said depending on what the next wt up is.
