I guess canbus allows the inrush current to go through when I flip from high to low beam, but not when I flip off to on. I’m not giving up on figuring out a solution 😁

I put a toggle switch on the highbeam wire. This way I can flip the high/low switch and turn on/off the headlight on the move without restarting the bike. It makes no sense to me why the bike lets me turn the low beam on and off that way but no other way.

I’m looking to buy a laptop just so I have it so I can go between different firmware. I’m in orange county New York. @TCMB371 posted that he was planning on making some laptops to sell. I contacted him but he hasn’t gotten back to me. He might be my best option here.

Someone on here offered a computer already configured and set up. I want to go that route. I agree with the nostalgic value of this dealer computer.

I have a dealer laptop preinstalled with multi tool. Just wondering if that will allow me to install different firmware, or if I have to make my own computer with the multi tool available on the site? Just wondering if it’s more restrictive being that it’s a laptop from the dealer.

I have the Alta computer, not MT. Can I install SM firmware on my EXR with that?

I don’t understand why we’re so locked down with Alta software. Can’t we just get an aftermarket controller? Is it more complicated than I think?

I had mine done at KTM World as did Philip. They did a really good job.
