I found followed AMA 2020 approved MX motorcycles list. Neither Alta nor any other electric bike are in. Not even for VET races..

Thanks. I also experienced that vet classes were open for any motorcycles but only if they had combustion engine.. Regarding the Mammoth MX, unfortunatelly it's in the middle of the season. As I'm from Europe, it would be difficult for me to get the bike there and back without losing races at...

The problem of producing electric dirt bikes is the business behind it. It's quite impossible to run the project profitable if you don't produce 1000 the same bikes a year! Alta Redshift is an absolutely cool bike which I love very much. But the project itself was a lost of about 30 milion...

I don't know how the rapid charger works with 110 V. I have both. The difference in current with 230 V is less than 1 A - 12,5 A with standard charger and 13,1 A with the rapid one. The charging time is more or less the same, may be some 5 minutes less with the rapid charger to charge up to 90 %.

I converted my Alta MX into a snow bike for the winter season 2018/2019 and I'm going to do it for this winter with my 2019 EXR as well. There will be definitely more power than with the MX. You can watch a short video on There are no problems with charging if you do it immediately after riding...

I don't have any display on my KTM and I can live with it. Also my early 2017 ALTA MX doesn't have an hour meeter which I would like to have..

I wanted to say that the weight of a 3300 W inverter is 64 lbs (not 50 as I wrote) but the weight of a 4000 W inverter which you need to be able to use the rapid charger is 100 lbs+ and in that case you need some help to load and unload..

That's the difference having the standard charger and the "fast" one. For the standard charger you just need a 50 lbs invertor which you easily load and unload with one hand. The weight of the next size is 100+ lbs :confused:
