Interest Check- Owners joining together to file class action lawsuit

I don't know what could make a better case or if there even is a valid legal case. We need some Redshift riding bankruptcy attorneys on this forum ! My non-lawyer opinion: For Redshift owners with an active, unfulfilled warranty claim; e.g. the Code 36 battery fault where we know ALTA...

Interest Check- Owners joining together to file class action lawsuit

I had assumed this thread was a hypothetical poll. With your gentle prodding, here are my thoughts and observations on harsh reality ..... I can only speak for myself and in my case it is definitely not apathy. I am committed to keeping my ALTA running for as long as possible and in fact...

    What might have been

I would have been OK with ugly if there had just been a 2020 model.

Interest Check- Owners joining together to file class action lawsuit

The basic answer is no. I don't think any of us have seen the contract or purchase agreement with BRP, however all of the public releases have specifically said that BRP did not assume any obligations with the purchase of the assets.

How-To : Install and Use Alta Multitool Software

So, there was one post a while back that said the MT should work on a Mac, but there were problems with Python. I'm in the Technology-Over-the-Hill Gang and I haven't owned a Windows machine in at least a decade. I don't really want to relearn that platform unless something goes wrong with...

    Honda CR Electric! Yes!

It is something Honda (Mugen) could build and potentially produce if it is in their business plans. Mugen has won the last four or five Isle of Man TT Zero races in a row. Last year the bike (with Michael Rutter onboard) averaged over 120 mph for the full 38 mile lap of the Mountain Course.

What Really happened to Alta Motors + The last hours of Alta HQ

Hmmmm.... So maybe there are a very few mythical SMRs in existence.

    Favorite off road helmet?

A quick video highlighting the same problem @Oded had with his Airoh helmet. Suomy helmets apparently had/have similar problems. If you have one of these brands, or quite honestly any helmet, you should be checking the integrity on a regular basis. This is not something you want to occur...

Want to buy Ex front wheel spacers

Yep, definitely aware of this. It is probably good that you repeated it here for people who didn't follow the earlier threads. I fabricated a caliper spacer months ago and have mounted both KTM dirt and SM wheels on the EXR. This includes the KTM caliper relocator for the big disc on the...

Want to buy Ex front wheel spacers

Wheel spacers are not exactly a high tech, major IP component so it would be interesting to hear what is behind that restriction. There are lots of brands and vendors selling wheel spacers and bearing kits for KTMs and all of the Japanese bikes even though you can buy the OEM parts from the...

    Knee braces - which one?

Nice. I had not seen those. It would negate using the boot strap on the Asterisk braces without some modification to the pants, but I may need to give those a try. Thanks.

    Knee braces - which one?

I have the Asterisk Ultra Cell braces. I had the Asterisk Cell braces for almost ten years and then bought these when those were getting worn out. They are painfully expensive, but much cheaper than knee surgery. I came very close to tearing up my left knee several times when I was only...

    Perry Mountain 24 Hour Challenge -- June 1-2, 2019

Here is the list from Snydes post on page three plus adding Larry from this page. I think everyone on the list should get an email notice with this post. I have TBD grandkid duties in the Summer, but I will be glad to help in the pits if I can make it. @Emoto2577 :ricky: @snydes :ricky...

    Electric Motion

Definitely more of a play bike than a race bike, but at only 215 pounds with the onboard charger and up to 45 miles range it would be a nice little dual sport bike. However, for at least 2/3 of the riding I do the EXR is a better option.

If someone produced a replacement battery pack, would you buy one?

After thinking about it a little more, I changed my vote from "Yes, with improvements" to "Yes" I would buy a second pack exactly like the one on the bike now. Although I wouldn't turn down improvements. I would be willing to spend the money for the insurance to keep this bike (and hopefully...
