    How Far Have You Gone?

This is what I am thinking also. On one of my rides I went about 32 miles and the battery meter was blinking. In map 2, I still had full speed and full power. My experience with lower powered two wheeled EVs, this is not the case.

How do you use your Alta?

I'm not certain, but I think single track was a term adapted from mountain bike terminology. In the 70s and 80s, if what we were riding was ST, we just called it a trail, if it had more than one lane, it was a dirt road, ridge road, or fire road. Times have changed.

99% of the time I ride alone. And yah, its meditation in motion.

How do you use your Alta?

Is it me, or does the beer taste better after a nice ride on the Alta? I swear it does.

How do you use your Alta?

This is definitely a no $h!t statement. Suspension work is all that is needed. One could go on with tire preference and gearing selections, stuff like that, but dialing the suspension for the rider is what makes the EXR such a well rounded tool in the woods.

POLL - Have you had problems that required support from Alta Motors?

Same here with my EXR. I just did my 10 hour service, changed the 90cc of gear oil. Even though I knew how much gear oil the bike held, it still amazed me how little oil it actually is, especially when comparing to regular motorcycle oil changes. Went with Amsoil finest stuff rated for...

I will be using SKF seals when I have my suspension revalved. That said, I haven't noticed any stiction issues on the stock EXR.

    BAD NEWS

That is exactly the way I feel about it. Zero regrets. I know from experience after 4 years or so, our batteries will need to be replaced to maintain optimal performance. I know a battery builder in Vegas, but I don't know if he would mess with a battery thats over 400 volts hot off the...

    BAD NEWS

I agree with you on this, provided that there is no immediate resolution. That said, I honestly think this is going to sort itself out and Alta will have new owner/s investor/s. Too many underbreath comments and references from people who do know whats going on, and can't just come out and...

    Accessories available at MotoMinded

I have been saying this for years and years now. Even though electric propulsion has a mile wide long "power band" so to speak, our bikes, along with Tesla and other EVs could benefit from a 2 speed tranny, a low range direct drive unit via gear reduction and a high range like an overdrive...
