Will do. I posted this question on another thread, I guess I could ask it here, the majority of riding I do is off road stuff where speeds rarely exceed 30MPH and there is a lot of elevation change. No Moto X. I have the 2019 EXR with 13/53 gearing. I ride Map 2 about 99% of the time. What I am...
I was hoping to post this question on Phillip's Dyno thread when he dyno'd both his MX and MXR, but I couldn't find it the second time. Moving on, the majority of riding I do is off road stuff where speeds rarely exceed 30MPH and there is a lot of elevation change. No Moto X. I have the 2019...
Neither did I until I started exploring. Up until recently, I thought the only trees in Nevada were in and around the Lake Tahoe area. Shows what I know.
Had a great ride today. Tight and gnarly trail with some rocky fire roads. The EXR just crawled through it like it was a Trials bike with a one speed transmission and rekluse clutch. Got up to 10,000 feet above sea level today. The bike was jetted perfectly all of the time. ;) Anyway it...
I'm with you, but as long as we can get the trademark replacement parts, motor/controller/battery/ stuff like that, I will mix blue green and orange with my white EXR to keep in running years down the road.
Yah it looks like its a direct drive unit with no reduction drive. This is why the rear sprocket is so big and the front is small. This also tells me they are using a motor with a slower wind/stater turn count given the voltage perimeters are the same.
///Edit///, looks like Phillip already...
I think this could be the case. I have a thread on ES where I have been posting my ride and experiences with the EXR. I noticed that I was still getting full speed and power with less than 10% SOC remaining. Like you, I am also wondering if the charger is handling state of charge an cycling...
I guess this means I am off the hook of giving away half of my potential mega millions winnings then? If I hit the big one, I will still throw a lot of at Alta.
I thinks its important to note machines just sitting around is just plain sad. If I was retired, I would not hesitate to have 3 bikes. I would make sure they all got used weekly. Until I retire, only going to have a motorcycle ( ALTA EXR) and my electric bicycle.
I sold my CRF250 to help bankroll the EXR. No regrets, I have a funny feeling that your KLX250 will just sit around and do nothing once you get your Alta.
