Maine - Any roadblocks or smooth sailing?

The only two variables I can really think of are sales tax and dealer doc fees. I considered ordering mine to a dealership in New Hampshire to avoid sales tax, but since I was planning road and off-road registering in Massachusetts I wouldn't be able to avoid the sales tax either way.

    Insuring electric dirt bikes

I don't know if Geico insures motorcycles in Canada but it was no problem when I street registered my varg last month. I just have the basic level of insurance at the moment but there was no issues covering it fully for theft, liability, and collision if I wanted to. The bare minimum liability...

Varg turns on in Neutral, cannot select mode

I hope so. We should be able to set the maximum charge % as well as scheduled charging where you can set a time to be at a certain %. I'm sure we will see some of these features in time.

    Please shout up any issues

Your bike likely has a software update ready to install. Look in the pdf manual or a YouTube video how to install it.

Maine - Any roadblocks or smooth sailing?

Yea I expected to have to jump through a lot of hoops. Only one was going to a different registry that didn't make up non existent rules about electric motorcycles. They said when I go to get an inspection sticker that's when they would confirm everything. Jokes on them, I generally never bother...

Maine - Any roadblocks or smooth sailing?

My mco did say off road only. At the dealer I bought though, his demo bike mcodid not say off road only. The batch mine arrived with did. I figured I'd have to have the bike inspected to ensure all the road legal parts were in place before registering. Apparently the policy of the...

Check your Stark Varg charger plug

It's very likely it's assembled by whoever makes their charger. But in the end if it ships with their bike and causes a fire it's an issue for stark. I made sure they are aware of it. I want nothing but success for stark, they have made a hell of a bike!

Check your Stark Varg charger plug

Same issues on mine. This is a serious fire hazard that Stark could be liable for.

Has anyone from CA used dirtlegal.com for Stark Varg?

If CA won't register it directly, make sure you do the dirt legal registration with a Montana LLC. Costs more, and has an annual cost, but makes it so there's no legal 30 day residency requirement register in state since it's registered to an out of state LLC. You can then register anything...

Street Legal Parts - Brake Light Banjo Switches

I wanted to update that it looks like I won't need to use banjo bolt pressure switches. Both the front and rear hand brakes have provisions for micro switches. The less failure points in the brake pressure system the better in my opinion, I'll go the microswitch route. I'll confirm fit when...

Street Legal Parts - Brake Light Banjo Switches

Yeah it's a good point although I'm pretty sure mine is going to be completely independent of the stark electrical system, just bolted on lights and battery.

Street Legal Parts - Brake Light Banjo Switches

Thanks for that. I watched it a while back but forgot there were so many specifics in there. That KTM microswitch for the front brake is exactly what I was looking for, cheaper than the banjo switch too.

Street Legal Parts - Brake Light Banjo Switches

I picked up my Varg a few weeks ago. I'm registering dual sport so I don't run into any issues while traveling on roads between trails. Luckily in Mass I had no issue with the off road designation on the certificate of origin, got a street plate with no problem. Now I need to get the right...

    Dealership delivery

Please update when yours arrives. My order is through the same dealer (originally an online order placed in the fall of 2022) and I paid in full towards the end of the year. No idea when mine is arriving.
