do you store the bike in standby mode or completely off?

I would definitely recommend a hard shutdown in a shared public garage in any shared living situation say like a townhouse/condo or apt complex. The fire risk and potential for problems is just too high to do otherwise.

    Problems with Charging

Yikes good catch. I have switched over to charging my bike from solar with an EcoFlow. I have some shared E I could use, but was worried of knocking out other's garage door openers/lighting since it services more than me.

3 issues with my Stark Varg in 1 week.

That is worrying with the hot summer upon us here on the East Coast US at least. Dying on a gnarly hill climb in 90 degree weather with humidity sucks --been there done that. I was thinking it might be your battery rather than your motor. The motor is liquid cooled the battery is air-cooled...

    Stark Varg rear brake

I have been really happy with the Stark footbrake. I think an advantage for some riders is less activity on the bars (no clutch or extra hand brake) with controls especially in the gnarl. I am comfortable with handbrakes on my MTBs they are light and self powered, but I like all hands (and...

3 issues with my Stark Varg in 1 week.

I have posted in a few spots about the power button, it is very susceptible to dirt intrusion and will cause undefined behavior once it starts to stick (like leaving you dead way out in the woods). It is very easy to do too. One get off and your handlebars go deep into soft terrain or mud and...

3 issues with my Stark Varg in 1 week.

Typically yes it can be rolled back. But if the update causes damage to physical parts say like a bus or a chip (usually by overheating) then it is toast. BTW just to be clear the programming causes an issue in the circuitry. Remember firmware can often be directly controlling hardware and...

    Tunability - Subscription or Deception

I bought my Stark through a legit dealer I am not doing mailorder for a purchase over 10k for a physical product from an overseas company with little US presence --I am old school like that. I bought a KTM from the same dealer in 2020 and both purchases were equivalent and smooth as silk. Can't...

3 issues with my Stark Varg in 1 week.

That the batteries went bad after a firmware update is highly suspicious and points to software rather than hardware. Somebody likely mucked up their Arm assembly code optimization. Been there done that.

    Is 80 HP Bullsh*t ?

EZ one there. They suck. I replaced mine with IRC heavy duty. The plastic ones lasted about 4 rides in the trail and enduro. They did not like hard log crossings at all. On a positive note thought, the Pirellis are surprisingly good and I am keeping them on at least till they are worn out...

@Tim Sharp did you resolve the issues with your bike?

Varg Down on power? (Ride Modes/Power Maps)

Well maybe but the OP said he was feeling it across the board. Modifying traction control for 80hp or 44k ft-lb/sec would be one thing but across the board would seem more like de-tuning to many owners --as other modes would be impacted (maybe in negative ways) if a linear one size fits all...

Varg Down on power - Thermal Limiting

Ya this true. And you would often get no indication until the bike started to melt down. Back in the day one of my air cooled XRs started losing power and it was too late. It had an oil cooler but it wasn't enough. Even liquid cooled ICE bike were a mixed bag. I got a mid 2000s WR450 and...

How long are we expecting the Stark battery to last (long term)

I got an EcoFlow Delta Pro ~1000.00 dollars off from a year or so ago 33% discount. Also portable solar panels are down a lot too. At least here in the US if the bullshit tariffs/taxes were taken off we could probably get panels for even less. You probably have the same in the EU.

How long are we expecting the Stark battery to last (long term)

It will only be a matter of time until competition forces the prices down on batteries, while there will be increases in performance. And if 3k goes to 1.5k E will be an even better deal..:ricky:

Varg Down on power - Thermal Limiting

I wonder if there are any mods available to address that? I ride mostly trail and enduro now that I am old, but I would think that 0% to 100% constantly is pretty common for guys riding moto with an E-mxBike --since the throttle is really the complete power delivery system like the clutch and...

@Kurlon wow sorry to hear that. Somebody should have gotten that right a while ago.

Nice... Why didn't Stark think of that?

Varg Down on power? (Ride Modes/Power Maps)

Did you try upgrading the firmware a 2nd time and waiting until it fully cycled? Maybe something happened in the firmware update process and it fell back to a default version? I worked on embedded firmware for many years and we always kept a default backup in case something went wrong in the...

    Portable battery power stations

I use the ecoflow delta pro 3.6kw unit to charge my varg. The ecoflow can be charged via solar, AC, or Tesla charge. With the non ultra model you need ~2 cycles to fully charge the varg. Since I ride trails and enduro rather than moto I can spread out the charging to use mostly solar at least in...
