    Cold weather storage

I remember someone suggested that a good long-term storage method would be to remove the battery, put it in a plastic bag, and store it in a deep freezer. In theory, this sounds correct. However, I would be concerned about all the microchips and PCBs that may not be designed for below-freezing...

Want to buy Stark Varg parts (suspension, wheels etc)

I have the Pirelli tires with barely any wear on them and one front original inner tube. However, shipping to the Netherlands will cost more than these parts are worth.

Owner's Review Stark Varg - First Customer Review!

I would say the weight is the same. The Alta has a heavier front end, and the Varg has a heavier rear end. You can feel this difference when riding. Lifting the bike onto the bike stand is about the same. The Alta has a low ground clearance, so you have to lift it higher, but the Alta's rear...

The FASTEST Car You CAN BUY! McMurtry Speirling Pure BREAKS RECORDS

Wow! Finally, someone made a (somewhat) production fan car! It has only been 54 years since the Chaparral Can-Am fan car (1970) and just 46 years since the Brabham F1 fan car (1978). It is really interesting to see what engineering decisions went into this. The car is electric, with adjustable...

Rear hand brake - major fading, solution??

The stock rear caliper fit and mounted perfectly. But the dual-piston front Brembo caliper did not fit on either my Stark or my Alta. It looks like there is a design flaw and the ears of the "stunt" bracket are about 1.0 mm too close to the face of the brake disk. I sent an email to NiceCNC...

    Wing Seats

I just discovered that I can use Alta rear wheels on my Varg by simply moving the Varg's rear wheel spacers onto them. WOW! :ricky: Even though the Alta uses a 20mm rear axle and the Varg used a 25mm axle, the rear wheels are interchangeable, and the only differences are the wheel spacers.

    Wing Seats

I am glad I fixed the ergonomics. I will bother with the numbers after I get the LHRB working. After that, we will have Round 2 of suspension tweaking. I ran scoop tires on my both Altas in Michigan. Loved them, it's like extra +5 horsepower on soft and loose surfaces! Here in Arizona they only...

    Wing Seats

Of course. This is why these bulges are there, so that they could slow down your flying-off-the-bike momentum. Without them, you have to rely on your upper body and hand grip too much. BTW, sitting on the outer edge of the seat is now way more comfortable too. I never had problems with bikes...

    Roll your handlebars forward!

I tested the new rolled forward angle of the bars at Pala yesterday. Super comfortable! The bars and the wing seat, my first session was about 25 minutes long, I had such a good flow I did not want to stop!

    Wing Seats

I tested this seat for the first time yesterday at Pala Raceway. OMG! It is so so nice! The width is a bit too wide, like the ~2015 YZF bikes. The grip is outstanding. I felt way more comfortable on this bike than before. If the knees are slightly ahead of the "wings" in the seat, then the bike...

Check if your bolts and screws are still there

I have lost one of the bolts holding the front fender and caught one of the rear fender bolts barely hanging half-way out. Check and tighten all your tiny bolts guys, most of them are pretty loose from the factory. I am going to use Loctite on all of them from now on. Additionally, check the...

Bull :poop:. They'd have to prove that your mod caused a problem being claimed under warranty.

    Can-Am Electric Motorcycles

Thanks! I didn't know about it. That's a good start. But it is a boring low-power Prius-style hybrid. More weight and complexity in the name of reduced emissions and a better fuel economy. I was thinking of a pure EV drive unit so that the maximum electric torque is plentiful and instantly...

My 240v Battery/Inverter Track Side Charging Setup

Wow, how the prices have come down. That's pretty amazing. I had a similar setup back in ~2019, with five BattleBorn LiFePO4 batteries and an AIMS inverter/charger. I paid $6K for that setup, but the batteries kept dying on me. Luckily, I managed to sell the batteries on eBay before the prices...
