Charge EXR @ Level 2 Public EV Charging Stations

I'm sure if someone built a handshake module/J1772 adapter for either rapid or standard chargers, they could probably sell them for a premium. I'd buy one. The standard charger will fit in a backpack, I don't know about the rapid charger. Surely not the box it comes in.

I've heard it can be really dusty, but I will certainly try and capture the moment to share with you all.

    Dolly Towing with SXS

So since I've decided to go on this Hatfield-McCoy trip I would like to tow the Alta with the SXS with something like this: Tow Dolly I would look at something beefier, but the Rzr has the small hitch, which I don't think is a big problem, the Alta is relatively light. I could strap the...

    Hatfield-McCoy Trails, April 23-26, 2020

If anyone is interested I'm heading out there with some friends who mostly ride ATV's. I'm also bringing an SXS because the trails can be LONG. There are plenty of short trails and loops for the Alta, which I'll be trying to ride as much as I can. I've never been there, but I've heard it's...

Free MX ride day south central Pennsylvania, rescheduled for summer

Thanks for letting us know, I think I might take you up on this! Let's hope it warms up a little for it. What's the charging situation..I still haven't gotten a generator yet.

Charge EXR @ Level 2 Public EV Charging Stations

If you knew the details of the "handshake" you could probably replicate it without too much difficulty with an arduino or rasberry pi, but yes. I was exploring this while I was still commuting into DC and they have free charging stations. JE1220 or something like that. Those don't look free...

    Randomly acknowledging some forum members

I'm not big on social media, I don't use facebook, instagram, or twitter, but for some reason I have to check this site every 10 damn minutes to read what you guys are saying. Maybe it's the courageous nature of those of us willing to own a rare bike with unsupported technology, but for some...

Bike Ramps and other loading tips

I use the same thing (Black Widow model - Amazon Link), yours looks a little more sturdy than mine. I like to keep my truck bed free for gear and so I can lock it up even with the bike loaded. The trick is to run straps from the front and back of the hauler straight into the bed to help with...

    Fork Adjustment Knobs

    Thanks!

    Fork Adjustment Knobs

So @VINSANITY and I are swapping front forks but his Rebound adjustment knob is missing: I only have the one adjustment knob on my MXR forks. He offered that I remove the adjustment knob on my fork and replace the missing one in his. From this pic I would think the knob could be pried off...

    Stock wheel spacers front

These are the same for the XPLOR forks as well correct?

    Swapping MXR/EXR front suspension

So I need to send the pump with the forks. I'm a pretty light rider, I'm guessing 165 lbs geared up, so I really doubt I'll need to change the springs. I'm looking for a softer feel.

    Swapping MXR/EXR front suspension

That's why we want to swap. I find the front to stiff for my style of riding, would love it if it felt a little softer. We already swapped rear shocks. I'm guessing the pumps have the same connection and we wouldn't have to swap those as well?

    Swapping MXR/EXR front suspension

Vinsanity and I are talking about swapping our front suspension. Are there any considerations we need to worry about? Are the wheel spacers the same or should we swap those as well? I assume the triple trees are the same.

    Electric clutch

C5tor, I totally agree with you and am also a novice dirt rider. My reasons for wanting a different map switch is that the existing switch is not robust. The mounting tabs on mine are broke so if I smash the buttons quickly or in a panic I completely rotate the switch housing around my...

    Electric clutch

That is not a bad idea, and it shouldn't be difficult to do. The hard part would be figuring out what signal the switch is sending to the control board, but even that shouldnb't be too difficult. Setting up a lever with some microswitches would be pretty easy.

    Electric clutch

I think he is saying that you can get the power you need quicker when popping the clutch on a revved engine vs twisting your wrist, right? I like to think that if I'm in map 4 I can get that wheel up real easy with just a little twist, if I were to practice it.
