I was wondering what the cheapest set of plastics would be. Looking further into the future, building a subframe for the cheapest/most common rear plastics would probably be the most economic solution. Then I wonder if there 3d models of those plastics.... I was going to work on building molds...

They may still be prevented from doing that under an NDA. They usually have time limits, but it's only been just a little over a year. And yes, using an accelerometer to try and make traction control could be quite buggy. But it would be hilarious if some programmed an "Auto-Wheelie"...

The only issue I have with those is the "vent" in the bottom portion of the shroud has very small connecting ribs, one drop, even lightly, could bend all those connecting ribs and distort the plastic. The same happens on the little connecting ribs on the number plates, one drop and half of them...

If you could put a sensor on the front wheel to provide true traction control, that would be pretty crazy. I think anyone who trail rides would agree a reverse gear and hill-hold would be really helpful.

I wonder how much more sales/interest would have been generated if Alta had allowed users to modify maps. Also as a by-product, it would have certainly increased their parts sales from owner's crashing their ridiculously modded bikes.
