Interest poll: What kind of charger would get your money on the table?

The connectors are not the issue. It's they wires in the ground. At our most local small track we have 1 fase 16A.

Interest poll: What kind of charger would get your money on the table?

The problem would be getting that kind of currents to the tracks though. Most are just big households. If you want to charge 5 Starks you're allready way beyond what the cables in the ground are up for. I think it will remain generators for some time. Wich are still way quieter and using way...

Interest poll: What kind of charger would get your money on the table?

Good idea, although the ''charging station'' battery's would surpas my max price i guess. But if say it's a 2-3kW package just to buffer the thing could be kind of affordable. However that way you end up with 2 DC-AC AC-DC converters wich will also increase the price. If it can charge with say...

Interest poll: What kind of charger would get your money on the table?

I'm not a producer or developer of any kind. Just curious what kind of charger would get you to put your money on the table. Stark business model has the issue of selling once and not needing spareparts for a long time. Hence the subscription model and the clothes. Both are not really my cup of...

Stark Varg: Gearing for optimal range

I'm actually a guy who likes shorter gearing on most of my bikes. That way it's more predictable over most objects and really doesn't stall or lacks power to do something when i want it. I normally ride 2 strokes though and somehow when riding the EXC500/TE501 etc i always stall them everywhere...

Stark Varg: Gearing for optimal range

Not quite sure though. Lap times may be interrupted badly by messing up 1 corner. Also another feel to a bike might slow you down at first, so might be misleading. As for battery usage on a few laps. It's a 2:30 to 2:45 min lap on a sandtrack. Just 35/40 minutes is needed to drain the battery...

    Ex light on Mx

Another problem is the handler switch connects to the phone mount of the EX. Wich you would also need. That way your phone would no longe connect with your bike. The MX motor will not connect with the EX battery and the other way around. I think in the end to get this working as OEM you might...

    Ex light on Mx

The wiring harnas will not fit to your battery. So will not work. Maybe a 12V battery wil do, but maybe not because it needs the VCU.

    Ex light on Mx

I pretty much think the big cable is plus and min. The other ones get a signal from the handlebarswitch or VCU getting its orders from the switch. I think the best bet would be to go for an entire wiring harnas and connect that to a battery. However not 100% sure if the VCU is involved. It...

Stark Varg: Gearing for optimal range

I also found one on the torque that someone calculated from the HP dyno from above video: If we take this to be true one would say the peak efficiency ends at 43 mph/69km/h. If you with my riding involving 70 km/h as is now (and far more when it would be road legal in OTR events) you would...

Stark Varg: Gearing for optimal range

Well that's a reason why i would love to have a roadlegal Varg. That way you could test under the exact same circumstances. I do have the feeling on the really fast bits (not in this video/track) of ''over revving'' the engine. Almost as if you get past a powerband. Here is a dyno chart from a...

Stark Varg: Gearing for optimal range

It's a Beta RR 300 Racing from 2021. So KYB in front, Sachs in the back. From 23 onwards they have MYB front and rear and should be a better transition with the Stark. However being an enduro bike it's far softer with all pros and cons. For racing i would love to set it up the same, but the Beta...

Stark Varg: Gearing for optimal range

I could experiment a little on one off my regular bigger MX tracks. Wouldn't be the best comparison to my races, but at least we'll see a difference if there is any. I have 12-13-14-15 sprockets on stock (shares those with our Beta's). Maybe on a quiet day (so the ruts don't change too much) do...

    Reduce Drag Stark

To reduce weight you could go 19' at the rear. The rim is way lighter than the tyre. The OEM tubes are very light, but i broke the 21' on the first ride and the 18 on the second. However that was the November 23 model. In December 25 i ordered a new 19' wheel and pulled the tube immediately so...

    stark varg ex supermotard

Does that really matter on the lifespan of an MX bike though? Also this is not a circlip mount, but a solid bolt connection. I never seen damaged axle splines on a bolt mounted sprocket. I have seen it with circlip sprockets with both OEM and aftermarket. I think it's more a design feature than...

Stark Varg: Gearing for optimal range

I used around 10.3% per lap (8 laps used 83%, each lap rougly 7:30 min). However in the fast farmland section i could see it drop 4% in just under 1 minute. So that short sprint eat up an over reprecented part of the battery. In the obstacle section i couldn't catch in right before and after on...

Australian Championship shows why the AMA has banned Stark. It ain’t Safety.

Those damn backwards ''rednecks''. I've been hit by the same rider twice in the same CrossCountry race. He explained he did not hear me. Well i was riding slower in FRONT of him the first time and the second time standing still at the entrance of a single track where a crashed bike blocked the...

Stark Varg: Gearing for optimal range

Hard to tell though. All these races run once a year per specific track. Most are even prepared for just 1 day and are setup slightly different each year. The race i did last weekend was the same i did a year ago. Then we had snow and hail around freezing with deep sucking mud. This year we had...

Stark Varg MX vs EX fitment plastic

To answer my own question: The ''SEX1-P-RF-02-B Rear fender'' came in and i mounted it on the Stark MX. In shape it was a perfect fit. It however missed the mounting for the rear wires of the MX. I drilled a hole to fit the upper mounting and that was all the modifications i needed to make...
