AMA and Electric Motorcycles in AMA races

Boys doing fine in FIM Superenduro. Karlsson got 3rd in superpole then 6th overall. That is while being limited to 48 hp and minimum weight of 123 kg (stock Varg EX is at 120 kg and obviously no such limitations for ICE). Not sure what happened to Taddy (DNF race 2, DNS race 3...)...

NEW! STARK VARG EX is here!

Yes even 40 miles could be on the limit depending on terrain and rider, here's the range in Stark enduro vid Beginner got 50 km, 3h03 (average speed 16 km/h) Amateur 53 km, 2h19 (23 km/h) Pro (Taddy) 42 km, 1h18 (32 km/h) Ofc that was with he Varg, not Varg EX. Since they've posted full...

2025 Stark Varg rumors, changes, etc.

Well, Flux is developing a 85 hp 7.9 kWh dirt bike with swappable batteries and batteries that can be charged independently of the bike (otherwise swappable would be useless) so we may have real world data about that in a couple of years 😉

NEW! STARK VARG EX is here!

Nope, but it also took a while to see official confirmation they were using P45B. I am pretty confident they're using P50B because Stark have a partnership with Molicel, because these are the most advanced Molicel cells for this kind of applications and because P50B have been available for about...

NEW! STARK VARG EX is here!

Good catch, as I've posted in the previous page, for me one of the most impressive improvements is in cell capacity retention, 80% capacity after 750 cycles would be 1500 h (assuming 2 h enduro range).

NEW! STARK VARG EX is here!

For Europe if you order a Varg EX today and choose "pay now" estimated delivery is February 10th. If you just pay the 299 € pre-order fee, delivery date is May 19th. They are enticing customers to pay in full, it could also be a way to stock dealers first, which makes sense for a brand new...

    Please shout up any issues

It's a nice garage you have, cosy reading chair to learn more about farm animals while you're waiting for your Varg to charge. Plus everyone should have at least one dinosaur in his garage 😁

    Outside warranty window

Yes it is. As you said, warranty starts at delivery, not at production date. To know production year of your bike you can check your VIN 10th digit: N is for 2022, P for 2023, R for 2024 (2023-2024 cutoff around 3000). They've had to build a factory from the ground up and build some limited...

    Varg production numbers / VIN

Exactly, digits 1-3 World Manufacturer Identifier: UDU for Stark Future digits 4-8 Vehicle Descriptor Section: MX1AE, MX1A presumably stands for the Varg, digit 8 for motorisation, E for electric, this section would probably be different for Varg EX so I guess they would start serial numbers...

Electric Motion Escape XR! Ultra bee competitor?

Just found a little more info on Electric Motion, they needed 10 years to start turning profit, have about 20 employees but they have worldwide sales, great success in trial competition... and last month Yamaha invested in them...

NEW! STARK VARG EX is here!

I assume they're going to bump the Varg battery to 7.2 kWh in the near future, it doesn't make sense for them to source, stock and install different 21700 cells. Maybe they'll then realign the price of Varg with Varg EX. Just saw that besides increased capacity, the P50B also gets more cycles...

    Outside warranty window

That's a legit question but I would not preemptively assign malice to Stark for something that might or might not happen when the first warranties expire around 2025 summer. What we do know is that 2 years warranty for dirt bikes is unheard of, that part failures did happen, and that warranty...

2025 Stark Varg rumors, changes, etc.

Even some accessory allowing to charge the battery outside of the bike could be useful for guys doing long enduros. If you buy this imaginary accessory plus an extra battery (3k) you can ride (loops) for the entire day. Stark mechanics swap batteries in a couple of minutes for Taddy and...

NEW! STARK VARG EX is here!

Is ABS mandatory for all motorcycles to be road legal in NZ, including 125cc? This bike being classed as A1 in Europe is nuts, maybe this could also mean different requirements for homologation in NZ?

Torque is very slightly higher at 1036 Nm, they must have adapted something in the distribution or is it just the 18" rear wheel? 70k YT views in 12 h is solid!
