first off...don't sell your bike, you will miss it. secondly NOTHING throws you to the ground harder or faster than a trials bike and they are very uncomfortable. finally sold my gasgas txt300pro, still hurts to walk when it rains! also just red that Polaris and zero are working...

I hope the Starks are awesome but the Altas are tried and true with a great knowledge base here and they are a better bike than I am a rider so I am sticking with alta , at least until one of the big 4 gets it right. still keep the Altas though.

better late than never sooo...I have an alta mx and a surron. the surron has about $10k into it with brakes, suspension, adult sizing, tires and battery and controller upgrades and compared to the alta IT SUCKS!!. if you are 5'4" or less and weigh about 120lbs you could ride the surron seriously...

my other option was to have the charging done off board via alta charger, luckily they found me a onboard charger, good luck, this forum seems to be all about the stark Varg and people selling their Altas to get a Varg. someone helpful will find you.

OK...here's my take on it. a manual clutch would be simple to add from a design viewpoint, just put it in a jackshaft. how about left foot actuated clutch? it's got nothing to do anyway. as far as needing a clutch, the first time I dirt rode my alta I dug a hole and got stuck on the first steep...

I am not going for the Varg. my Alta mx is a better bike than I am a rider, but I did just purchase a 2022 zero SR, cool bike...no upgrades yet still getting familiar with it.

congrats. I hope it's all you wish for and I couldn't think of a better person for it to go to. years of experience with Alta and fast as hell. looking forward to your evaluations(but I won't take them too seriously until the new bike owner luster wears off.....soooo lets say second lap?)

does the ex have an onboard charger or do you have an external charger? just wondering 'cause it's street legal.
