I wish the Enduro model would we lighter. That's my only concern with my Alta. For mx the weight is less noticeable, but for enduro (hard) it's quite a disadvantage. Picking up the bike on rocky inclines is exhausting.

Are you sure Alta embedded this feature? Never noticed it. In map 4 on the mx map? It takes a lot of courage to give full throttle at map 4.

Is the bike functional without the Map selector?

The 3shul are VESC based. VESC is a very pupular and friendly line of controllers. Easy & friendly to program. these are high quality controllers.

I also wondered what makes manufacturers like EM, Cake, KTM choose such low efficient (low voltage) systems. apparently, It has something to do with homologation (making these bikes street legal in Europe).

Electrics should not be judged by hp. Their power curve and strong torque is what makes them so suitable for hard enduro. Comparing horse power to gas bikes is misleading. I use my Alta for hard enduro only, it is great, and sprung right, but too heavy (124 kg).

Thanks Rashid, Figured that the number of cases could have been extremely high and expensive for a small company, but I could be wrong. Fixing the broken wire bonds is not enough. They'd have to fix all wire bonds in these malfunctioned packs including those that haven't failed yet.

Curious as a hypothetical question - How would Alta have handled the wire bond issue in the R packs? They were able to replace all packs? We know that fixing the broken wire bonds is not enough. This is quite an expensive repair, and we are not talking about few dozens bikes, but many more...
