Media Review Media Week in Spain - Electric Cycle Rider

On a motocross track, when you drain the battery in under 30 minutes -- yes. But not when you are talking about leisurely trail riding and discharging the battery over 4 hours, or at the average rate of 0.25 C/hour. At this rate, the battery cells are not generating much heat. No battery power...

AER revalve #2 and 'air-to-air' conversion

Recently I have been riding my SMR on pavement. And this helped me realize how inadequate the 48AER fork really is. Too much friction. The spring characteristics are all wrong. The balance between compression and rebound doesn't work for smooth roads. All kinds of stuff that we normally do not...

13,000 Stark Varg's now on order for delivery in 2023

Ok, reading more into this, KTM "secretly" told all their dealers that they may have a full-size dirt bike in 3 years. I am sure Suzuki won't beat them to it. But Yamaha, Kawasaki, and even Honda just might. By that time Stark will be one of the "Big 7".. if Suzuki is still around. Kudos to...

    Front Fork Question

The EXR comes with steel sprin WP Xplor forks that all Enduro KTMs had in 2018. The MXR comes with air spring WP AER48 forks that all MX KTMs had in 2018. The EX and the MX comes with steel spring WP 4CS forks that all KTMs had in 2015. The SM comes with steel spring WP "bees knees" forks...

13,000 Stark Varg's now on order for delivery in 2023

Yes, I have noticed, and I have checked their website already. I like their tech. They are purpose built trials bikes with a "TKO" crawl mode and with a real clutch that so many Enduro guys want. I am surprised @Oded doesn't own an Escape R yet. Or does he???

I might want to buy an E pure too, I might need it, I just have no idea what that is, LOL! And Google is of no help.

    Mileage and Range Expectations

Really? Oh! That's good to know! We have three different ChargePoint J1772 6.5 kW charging stations in town, and I also think they are free. If I had an on-board charger, I could ride into town midday for a lunch. The problem is that I do not have an on-board charger on my MXR. Yeah... I...

    Mileage and Range Expectations

This was my bike today, charging at work for the first time, and possibly last. The general manager of the facility decided to put an end to letting the Zero owner charge his bike. I am not sure what the reason is, but I will try to find out. I had to beg to let me charge my Alta so that I don't...

    Top speed Stark Varg

This is on my way home today. It is an Alta MXR with SM wheels and 14/45 gearing. No tuck was needed. I was going in Mode 1 or 2 at about 75mph, then upshifted to Mode 4 and the bike almost pulled a wheelie. It must be gearing limited.
