On a motocross track, when you drain the battery in under 30 minutes -- yes. But not when you are talking about leisurely trail riding and discharging the battery over 4 hours, or at the average rate of 0.25 C/hour. At this rate, the battery cells are not generating much heat. No battery power...

This is on my way home today. It is an Alta MXR with SM wheels and 14/45 gearing. No tuck was needed. I was going in Mode 1 or 2 at about 75mph, then upshifted to Mode 4 and the bike almost pulled a wheelie. It must be gearing limited.
