Creative methods of charging the bike to say 50% after a ride

Should not have issues keeping the bike SOC above 90%. My SM was sitting on the dealer floor for over a year without any issues to the pack or systems. These packs are much more capable than per say a Zero pack which has a BMS that causes the packet cells to fluctuate.

    Converting an SM to EX

The front brake on the SM is the much larger brembo brake that Alta offered. If your going to Enduro are you planning to switch out brakes? (Or just switch out the SM tires for some knobbish ones?)

    Converting an SM to EX

Your front brake setup is different. Rears are same between the EX/EXR and SM.

What are the odds that another(even better) EXR-like bike will be made?

Conservative riding is something you can't do on the Alta. The SM for me is a local bike within the 20 to 30 mile window. My Vstrom/Car does the long distance.

What are the odds that another(even better) EXR-like bike will be made?

Those would be the bikes that were part of the Alta test fleet. We took the SM's out to get mileage on them. If you Google the distance from Campbell, CA to Brisbane via the local roads (SM dies on the freeways :( ) you can what was ridden. I don't recall what was the one with the most miles...

What are the odds that another(even better) EXR-like bike will be made?

You can go 50 miles already on an Alta. Ive done it over a 100+ times over the past 1.5 years.

Go Go Charger, other chargers, adapters

Is it that simple? Hooking up a J1772 inlet with a handshake box to a 110V plug aka a NEMA 5-15P (fancy name). Also. The Diginow example was an example of an idea. Not something to publicly rant about. You got issues with companies and people, go take it with them.

Go Go Charger, other chargers, adapters

So...explain to me how your going to get the OBC on the SM to communicate with the L1 or L2 chargers? Below is an older Diginow setup, but it has the CAN box: https://diginow.it/images/charger.jpg

Go Go Charger, other chargers, adapters

Are you planning to make the J1772 adapter the same way the Zero connector works? Or will there be some sort of handshake between the L2 charger and the OBC? SAE J1772 Charging Adapter [10-03267] - $150.00 : Zero Motorcycles, Electric Motorcycle Company

    2018 EX with R battery

Easiest way to confirm if you got an R pack is to check the HVIL connection and your battery signal connector. (Orange connector and black rectangular connector). Take a picture and confirming will be cake. EX33...doesnt smell like an R swapped bike.
