Are they serious it will have ABS brakes? Wow. That would be the first-ever ABS on a motocross bike. But most likely it is a typical uneducated journo talk.

Alta also used to claim a 75-mile range. With a 4.6 kWh battery, there is no way it will be more than 30-35 miles.

    Firmware MXR 2018

Do not drain the battery to zero, until you know for sure which firmware you have, and you should be okay. I do not think there are any externally identifiable features that the the latest firmware has that the previous firmware does not have, unfortunately.

My buddy Raced my Alta Video !

Great narration! I wish you guys had a spare battery to swap quickly.

    Look what Alta Started

Great, very competitive specs. The bike is 5 lbs lighter than the MXR. I like the small, quickly swappable battery! (y) What do you have for the inverter/motor controller? Does it need cooling?

    Look what Alta Started

@JWE -- Welcome to the club! Could you please share the technical specs? HP, battery capacity, weight. Are you using radiators, and if yes, then which components are you cooling? Can you crank out more than 60hp to beat the 450s on long straightaways? Also, I am curious how much would it cost...

    Speedometer somehow adjustable?

Does the wheel/sprocket gestapo really count the sprocket teeth when they stop motorcyclists?:poop: Or do they say like "Your TÜV vehiclepapers state that your top speed is only 120km/h, but you were going 130km/h. How do you explain that? Have you used any performance enhancing...

Anyone want to waste some money😂

I suppose then it's a good indicator that someone like @TCMB371 should start fabricating and selling these laptops, LOL.

Alta Parts Numbers Spreadsheet (with prices)

It's a clutch lever from any recent KTM dirt model. You can check the RMATVMC OEM parts catalog for several KTM bikes and it will most likely be the same part number.

    Speedometer somehow adjustable?

Do the traffic cops check your speedometer every month, or during every traffic stop? If no, then install that special "tech inspection sprocket" only when you go for a tech inspection.

    Speedometer somehow adjustable?

Build the bike, ride it with a cell phone speedometer app in hand, notice you actual and your display speed, adjust the front sprocket size.

    2019 MXR buying on Monday

If you are not planning on plating your MXR, I would get a night racing setup from Task Racing. Our very own @MrTaskRacing will hook you up.

    2019 MXR buying on Monday

Welcome to the club, Max! I like your plan. Ride and enjoy it! You will find the suspension to be quite satisfactory for your weight. I also weigh 200# and I run the stock rear spring. I tried going a step stiffer (63N/mm), but that only worked for me on jumpy supercross style tracks. The...

    24 Hour Race Equipment/Logistics/Stratiges Considerations

Yep. Fast riders, and also sand and mud drain the batteries quicker. And the ambient heat slows down the charging. So, sometimes you may need to have more bikes charging at once.

    24 Hour Race Equipment/Logistics/Stratiges Considerations

The length of the laps, actually, does not matter. In order to keep racing, you have to be discharging the one bike on the track slower than you are charging the (one/two/three/four) bikes in the pits.
