    Alta kit bike

EVERYBODY -- Apparently, Alta never owned the motor's design. They never paid for it. You can still buy it from a guy in Taiwan. And I am sure they will help with the controller logic for it. The difficult patent to get around is the motor housing integrated with the frame patent. Tiveni, or...

    One-man battery removal setup

The bike looks great without the battery. This is telling me it would look awesome with a smaller battery.

    One-man battery removal setup

My one-man battery removal setup: Hooked up two tie-down straps up to the garage door rail to keep the bike upright. One strap to the handlebar to keep it from turning to one side. 8 bolts to remove the skidframe. All are 8mm Allen. 3 bolts to remove the battery. All are 8mm Allen...

MXR dead this morning... (and now alive!)

I have good news and bad news. The bike is running. But it took swapping the battery pack. So the battery pack is bad. Dead/muerto/morto/сдох/死. The dead battery pack is not working in a good bike.

The bike wasn't washed, still dirty/dusty from the day before. The charge port pins look normal. I stuck the changing connecter there again without problems.

That would also allow folks to strap a second battery somewhere on the rear fender and double the range, LOL!

I am proud to say I have done that today. You do not need to remove the ACM to pop its cover and remove the battery. Just need to disconnect the connectors and wiggle it around.

Replaced the main battery? And also replaced the ACM? I might have to do a battery swap party tomorrow. Does the battery swap video exist somewhere, or are there any other instructions?

Checked maybe the connection to the display is bad, but the good bike will make noises even with the display completely disconnected, as I accidentally found out.

Tracked all three wires to the ECM connector. They all rang through.

The wire colors left-to-right are Black, Purple, Yellow. The black and the purple have 9V between them, so they must be okay. The yellow wire is a suspect.

In the key-off position the left and the right pins are connected. In the key-on position the middle and the right pins are connected.

Here is the key switch connector: There is 9V between the left pin and the middle pin on both bikes. If I short the right pin and the middle, then the good bike starts. But the bad one does not.

The key switch from the dead bike works on both bikes. I tried connecting a display from a good bike, but it didn't help. What's next?

Wanted to try but forgot. Now assembling everything back to try that.

Replacing the key switch didn't help. The 9V battery is reading 9.14V. What's next?
