Throttle and traction control on the Stark

Assuming that the MX and EX bikes are largely developed (i.e. the same) what else than the throttle/traction is taking up Stark's development? [I'm trying unsuccessfully not to bring up the dildo technology] Principle of deliberate trickle-development by some other Euro off-road factories...

Throttle and traction control on the Stark

A sophisticated throttle control and power delivery is the feature I am hoping to see in the new EX model. It is the thing that will likely sway my decision weather to get the bike. The "80HP" sticker may have been enough to grab the attention of Motocrossers, but for the infinitely varied...

    Dealership delivery

I clicked on most European dealers listed on Stark site. There are some real dealers/distributors, but also very many that appear to be small affiliates or just contacts. In any case, that's a lot of emails and contracts. Impressive for a company with a single product in a niche market.

NEW! STARK VARG EX is here!

With first EX deliveries and reports coming soon, here's a question for those sitting on the fence: - What feature and improvement or shortfall and disappointment will swing your decision to place an order or look elsewhere? To put it another way; Do you expect Stark will deliver on all their...

"Action Needed: Secure Your VARG EX Delivery Date"

Stark factory is in Girona, right? When I talked to them they offered me a direct pickup (i.e. I arrange all the transport), but I doubt I could just walk to the factory gate. Logistics companies do that. It's funny that you have to wait longer than someone in California, but it was explained...

    electronic clutch

How does it work? Does it interrupt the throttle signal? If it is an entirely electronical/software method why the need for that big "master cylinder" on the bars? I'm surprised that someone would make this and expect people to buy it without answering all these questions and more. Also...

2019 KTM 450SXF Factory Edition Conversion to Electric Street Legal

Following with interest. Did you happen to weigh the empty chassis? What is the final weight? Would love to see a video of it in motion if you have it.

    Stark Varg Ice Racing Build

Is there any need for a warmup procedure in cold weather with the Varg? What about in any temperature? Is the machine immediately ready for hard riding on first startup?

    Stark range video(s)

"This race I ran lap 1 (8 miles) and came back with 61%. I pitted and charged to about 75% (probably about 20 minutes). Went out for lap 2 (9 miles) and came back with 22%. I pitted and charged up to 70% (probably around 50 minutes). Went out for lap 3 and noticed I was around 40% at check...

EX: Traction control and whiskey throttle for Enduro

First, some disclaimers. - I know nothing about how throttle technically works on the Varg. I've not ridden the bike yet. - I've never ridden Motocross. All my interest and experience is in the type of Enduro that is very different from MX terrain and riding style. - I'm from the school of...

NEW! STARK VARG EX is here!

All valid points. I suppose I'm a bit bitter that EV off-road market is moving in the direction that off-road bicycles took circa 10-20 years ago. These days a decent mountain bike costs more than a small car. Process is irreversible since market is very willing to bear it, and it even became a...

NEW! STARK VARG EX is here!

Again, I apologise for moving the discussion to cost of ownership and price. I don't think there is much sense in comparing Varg and 2T 300 in that regard. My opinion is that people who can afford a 10K bike usually replace it in less than five years, so the long-term (~10 years) reliability...

NEW! STARK VARG EX is here!

Never worry, business plans of companies like Stark and KTM are built around that cohort. Downside is that they will buy any well polished turd within reason, and prices will rise and quality decline. You can ask KTM how is that working out at present.

NEW! STARK VARG EX is here!

I read your recent experience, and it's one that falls into 'horror' category. Was your bike sickly from the start? I don't expect anything to do exactly 'what it says on the tin', and I make allowance for Stark's sales pitch, but your estimation and experience is at the extreme edge. I...

NEW! STARK VARG EX is here!

Allow me to chime in from the perspective of a possible future owner. I only ride Enduro, and currently have a nicely tuned 2021. Beta 300 Race. I've been itching for a new machine for no better reason than to have some variety. After many years on a 2T, I was set on a big 4T, namely Beta 480...
