When they update their website for 2019, we should pick a date to check it out. Get some practice laps in, since I have no racing experience whatever, I can use every advantage I can get.
Having a veteran of the race would be a tremendous asset to the effort, if we can get enough interest to make a team. At this point I don't have any commitments in October, so looking forward to being part of the team.
If we can find a couple more riders to join us, I will have to start buying some extra lights to get my bike prepared. And if we don't win, we can at least have fun, and that's more important!
The enterprising folks on this forum are making their own replacement parts now, by next Christmas we ought to be able to assemble an entire new bike from parts produced by forum members. Who needs an OEM then?
There a blast, that's for sure, it's inevitable that someone is going to either resume production of our bikes, or something similar, possibly better. The real question is how soon will it happen.
