Unlike Zero, Alta are very responsive to customers questions. They reply quickly with great detail.

If you're riding an electric off road machine, you'll have no problem setting up an electric drone ☺️ I use & love Filmora video editing software. Easy to use, and yet very powerful. I use the phone mount for its GPS capabilities. Saved me a few times already..

I get about 3 hours of trail riding, but it is very different terrain than what is shown in the video in the first post. Much more technical and rocky terrain. Found this video clip that shows almost similar terrain, and he gets similar ride times as mine -

Ray is an electric pro. His modification to the Zero FX are second to none. I am just glad he didn't opt for the KTM Freeride E before the Redshift came out ☺️

Interesting you mention the forward motion of the throttle. Seems to me like an excellent opportunity for reverse mode.

Trust me, once you'll get the Redshift, there is no way you are going to look at the manual. So, take advantage of the free time.. 😉

Everyone remembered to change gear oil after few hours. Replaced mine, the oil was actually very clear.

I can think of many uses for it - Your regenerative braking idea is exellent, another option is for personal parameters map (like the Zero motorcycles).

Like most of the display buttons - does nothing. Perhaps for future upgrades?

So much great information in this post. Good to know we have an option to adjust the suspension to our needs. Since I do enduro type riding only, I'll stick with EX suspension for now. It is soft, but great for the terrain I ride on.

Thanks for the welcome! Such forum can be a real asset. Alta started selling Redshifts in Israel. So far 2 EX were sold, I am one of them...😊 I doubt many MX/R will be sold here since they can not be insured due to not being road leaga l.

Sounds right. One of the differences between the MX motocross and EX enduro is the maps algorithms. Don't think there is an official manual for 2018 models just yet. At least, I didn't find one.

I did get a confirmation from Alta that there will not be a brake pedal. However, it is suppose to be a high end Brembo kit.

I previously owned a Zero FX for 2 years, which had a left hand rear brake kit, instead of the brake lever. So, I am used to not using the foot brake. I have no problem unistalling it. Requires some getting used to for hard core IC bike's riders.
