    Chains

Much quieter! That was a huge selling point for me because I hated listening to the chain noise all the time, even when pushing the bike into the garage.

    Chains

The original Regina chains on my Husky and KTM were horrible. DO NOT PRESSURE WASH YOUR O/X RING CHAINS! I was not paying attention, and on my 5,000 mile adventure ride last year the chain stretched beyond adjusting ability by Day 2 so much that it was jumping off the sprocket in turns. The...

    Parts compatibility

The Alta's frame is unique, so the skid plates are unique as well.

    Parts compatibility

That's about sums it up. Add KTM brakes and KTM wheels, which require 7mm spacers in the front.

    Chains

I switched to a Tusk x-ring chain after about 3 hours. The stock chain kept wearing and stretching, requiring daily adjustments. It even stretched enough to start flopping and break the front chain slider. If I had kept doing adjustments, it would have eaten away the sprockets too. The argument...

    Anyone running Kreft suspension?

I am sad to report that this week I sent the Kreft suspension back to be returned to stock. It did not work for me on the tracks that I like to ride and race. I do not want to bash Kreft, they are an innovative and high-quality company with a large fan base, but I not a fan of how their product...

Owner's Review 2019 Alta EXR Ride Review: Midnight ride under the stars.

Actually, I once considered taking my KTM 1190R on a MX track and jumping a few table tops. Glad I didn't because this heavy and clumsy pig would have probably bent its upper shock mount and frame. So, this is the first time I saw a plated bike on a MX track.

Haha! Great job, @GT-117! I have not seen plated bikes on a motocross track before, this is awesome!:ROFLMAO:

    Great t-shirt!

It's strange that the shirt shows a road racers talking to a dirt bike. He isn't dressed properly. If I were the bike, I'd definitely throw him off.

Issue: EX front fender rubs frame and battery

Maybe you could have bent up that steel brackets where the two front fender bolts go?

How many want to keep the foot brake?

Yep, except I never developed that clutch in up in the air reflex. If the front end gets too high I just tap the rear brake, who cares about not stalling the engine when you're about to die, LOL. Also, I had Rekluse clutches on my bikes for the last 3 years, so clutching in was not necessary. I...

    Joined the Club!

Yes, a few guys here have done it, but you should search the forum because you might need aftermarket KTM triple clamps. Yes, exactly. I think adding two links should be enough. After adding the 14T sprocket, that would move your rear wheel just 5/16" back. Or you can start with four links and...

I have been running 110mm wide tires. I race motocross, and on hard jump landings the rear tire rubs against the "airbox" part of the rear fender. I added a couple of links to the chain to move the rear wheel 5/8" farther back, and that reduced the rubbing very significantly. The handling is not...
