New to forum -- EXR vs. MXR

I think the EXR and the MXR feel about the same, weigh-wise. The EXR has a nicer and softer seat! The EXR suspension is okay for trail riding and riding around, but it is too soft for motocross for anyone who weighs over 100 lbs. I weigh 200 lbs, and I can compress the suspension almost fully...

Let me move this from Videos to General. The video isn't that great, but the ideas are interesting.

A solid business plan for an electric motocross bike rental company. Need to make sure this warehouse is near a hospital, to save on ambulance costs. :p

    Electricridepark.de

Yep, a track in the middle of a metropolitan area would be awesome. A popular well-maintained track, near where people actually live, open 7am-11pm, 365 days a week. Cover it with an inflatable dome in winter.

    2017 vs. 2018/2019

The extra ~$2-3K that you will pay for the MXR is worth the money if you are going to use your bike for hard racing or fast riding. The battery can take more abuse, it has 8hp more (used to be 10hp), and it comes with the latest WP suspension, which is rideable in the stock form. On the other...

    The Forum's New Milestone!

Thank you for the invitation! I love Northern Michigan in the summer. I have never been to the west of I-75 though, if you do not count Machinac Island, so I should definitely visit. Let me know as soon as you get your Alta!

    Connecting multiple batteries together

Here are some odd battery facts that I learned today: According to batterystuff.com: "To join batteries in parallel, use a jumper wire to connect both the positive terminals, and another jumper wire to connect both the negative terminals of both batteries to each other. Negative to negative...

Hill climbing during our camping trip....

Love the looks of this old-school Bell helmet! It's a classic. (y) What?!! They must really want you to skip two-three years, or more. Grrr.... Great pics and videos! Thank you.

2018 MXR - LACC Springhill race report

Oh, sorry @CK696 , I almost forgot to un-confuse you! o_O According to your measurements, Alta has about ~1" lower ground clearance. Ignore the 5mm difference in rear sags and 18" vs. 19" wheels. We will assume the sags are set the same, and both bikes are sitting on the ground with fully...

    Alta Redshift ST concept

Alta's factory team raced a few flat track and (I think) supermoto events. They won the first one that they entered, and did well in others. There are Youtube videos of dominating performance on ice as well. Derek Dorresteyn, the Alta's CTO, is a former flat track racer. He wanted to built a...

Ouch! The right footpeg and the rear brake relocation. The first tip-over and the rear brake will be gone, and the $500-dollar motor housing tab will be broken off.

    The Alta Factory LHRB

Yep, a big syringe with a hose attached to the caliper bleeder screw. I also wrap Teflon tape around the screw threads. Fill everything from the bottom. Rekluse kits come with a syringe, so I had one lying around.
