    Battery Energy State Hysteresis

This is a pretty geeky discussion, I like it. It belongs into the Technical forum. I just moved it.

    Speed and Firmware

Bikes displaying an incorrect 10% higher speed seems to be a standard industry practice. No idea why motorcycle manufacturers keep doing this. A higher displayed value encourages speeding, shortens the warranty period, and hurts the resale value. Time to write to your congressman to request...

Owner's Review 2019 Alta EXR Ride Review on MX track and EXR vs '19 300XC on a woods Loop: Silent Eagle!

Man, glad you finally got yourself an Alta bike! I told you you'd like it! Thank you for the review and the video! (y)

    Alta video game

LOL! This is awesome. They should add some more regen, chain, and dirt hitting the rear fender sounds though. But it is pretty close already, I like it. I think this video game had 60-70hp Altas though. I wonder how soon the MXR-R will be coming out. :D

    Alta Error Codes

I have stickied this thread. Hope it does not grow too big. But if we keep seeing certain error codes we will hopefully know what they mean and what to do about them.

    Owner's Review 10 minute review

I rarely thrown away old inner tubes. Usually they get cut into rubber bands. It should be even possible to keep that rubber band nearby. Either on the front brake lever, or somewhere not far away, in case it is needed. I use a heavy-duty velcro tie when I transport heavy bikes in my van...

How often to check the WP AER48 fork air pressure?

Thank you, Fog. I considered sending my suspension to shops that already got good reviews, but I have some history with and loyalty to Kreft Moto. They just finished tuning an MXR that someone left with them. The engineer in me would also be kicking himself if I do not try out their Revalve...

How often to check the WP AER48 fork air pressure?

Perhaps you're right. I need to try to do it manually one more time. There is surely a lot of room around this shock. I just though if I make it easier to do, I would be doing it more often. With the possibility of changing the fork's air pressure easily, it wouldn't hurt to play with the rear...

How often to check the WP AER48 fork air pressure?

I am going to get an Xtrig rear spring preload adjuster when I revalve my MXR suspension. Then I will be able to play with the rear sag and the front pressure. Right now the damping is so far off that playing with minor spring adjustments is pointless.

How often to check the WP AER48 fork air pressure?

I should perhaps start checking it every once in a while. I do not yet have a favorite pressure setting, so it is kinda pointless for me to set it to some target. But knowing what pressure works for what track is valuable.

    Tubeless?

Tubliss (not tubeless) uses an inner bicycle tire with tube inside the main tire. There are two valve stems per each wheel -- four chambers. So you'd need four TPMS sensors.

How often to check the WP AER48 fork air pressure?

I am new to air forks, if I didn't count mountain bikes. I have never had one on my dirt bike before I got my MXR. I bought the MXR almost 3 months ago, but I haven't adjusted or even checked the pressure since the dealer set it when they unboxed the bike. The fork still seems fine, but I...

    Tubeless?

Tubeless is the way to go for most bikes. Pull that nail out, plug it up, pump up and you are good to go again. Saves at least half an hour and a lot of grunt and sweat on every flat repair. It helps to have TPMS though, at least on road bikes. It saves a lot of worry, periodic pressure...

    Owner's Review 10 minute review

I couldn't do that. I had a Rekluse clutch on it. But I used workarounds if I had to park it on a hill for a while -- an Allen key to release the Rekluse preload.

    Owner's Review 10 minute review

Nah. Nothing is as heavy to lift as a big KTM Adventure bike. I was able to lift this one two years ago, without scraping off all the plastic to rotate it. I may never be able to repeat that feat.

    charging complete?

The pump keeps running to cool the battery and even out the internal heat that was caused by the charging. Let it do its job, if you are not in a hurry.
