    Vin Id

It seems to me the Hirschmann throttle's reverse-rotation spring could be coated with epoxy on the accessible side to coil-bind it, ending the possibility of an I.T. fault on that bike during normal riding, Erzberg FW or no. Hirschmann might have a field fix for it too, perhaps a rigid insert...

    Tesla Battery

What I'd really like to see is a 225-235 lb bike with MXR performance/range and a lighter-feeling front end. A sustainable battery/BMS configuration using approx. the Alta case dimensions would also be a huge plus going forward.

    Repeating click noise under power

+1. I've got the OEM Regina with 2 D.I.D. 520NZ master links and NZ link between, there's a pretty loud click each revolution. I'd probably never have noticed on an ICE bike. :)

ALTA SM NOT CHARGING,NO ERROR CODE, JUST SAYS"AC GROUND NOT DETECTED"

Try connecting the bike chassis metal to an actual earth ground (metal cold-water pipe is OK, house power-entry ground stake is ideal) before the next charge attempt. This connection should be completely separate from any house wiring and is not intended as a permanent fix, only a diagnostic test.

Help, Broke my bike :( ** Update FIXED! **

I fixed a similar situation on an engine case screw. I JB Welded the broken threaded piece back on, chased out the threads, then coated them with JB Weld and put in a Heli-Coil insert (I seriously doubt it will break in that location again). Welding is better if done properly, but strong enough...

    Want to buy Standard Charger

The standard charger is @ 16 x 5 x 8" tall. It's the only one I use. It takes up a small amount of space on the rear of a garage shelf, cord coiled on top ready to go, LED clearly visible.

    Little shock tune test video!

Cool! I'll be replacing my -01 shock with an -02 & then revalving the old one, looking for pretty much the same thing as you. I had good luck with my AER revalve (reduced RD , near-zero CD, Teflon-suspension + LikeWater), I'll try and do a write-up on it & the shock work at some point.

For Sale Alta Owners Forum Deal Of The Week

+1, absolutely. I ended up shaving off about .010" of the rib nearest the foot's top end so it went in straight, then heated the upper foot as much as I dared (heat gun on low) and pushed down hard on the arm with the foot against a concrete floor-wall junction. I had to heat it a few times...

Rear brake master cylinder mount. Has it been broken?

Looks nice! I'd buy one whenever you get around to making them. I just looked at mine - didn't realize how much leverage the MC/pedal mount had on that lower frame boss.

    Alta MX Kickstand Installation Guide

Thanks! Step 11 is the least fun, by far - be careful not to pull the bike over on yourself. :(

For Sale Alta Owners Forum Deal Of The Week

I think this kickstand foot may work - I have one on order to try. Trail Tech used to have a silver foot that looked identical to the one on my MXR, but I don't see it at their site anymore.

    Max regen and flywheels

If I needed more flywheel effect, I'd try a 4 x 80mm (or whatever) machined tungsten disk on the motor shaft, along with a custom aluminum spacer from Cometic Gaskets to space out the cover as needed. Tungsten is strong and super heavy, the added motor rpm & gear reduction will increase the...

    Speedometer somehow adjustable?

For your situation, maybe something like a Trail Tech Vapor might be a good solution.
