Charged Cycle Works - Stark Varg vs Ultra Bee Trail Ride Test

"No amount of money or ingenuity can shave 60 lbs off a Varg ..." Exactly. For single track riding, I agree completely and that is why I cancelled my Varg order (plus all the delivery hassles). If I was shopping for a single track e-dirt bike, the Ultra Bee would be my top pick at the moment...

EM Factor-E Trials: 4-speed transmission, Flywheel, and Clutch

Very interesting, can't wait to hear the reviews on it. And when are they going to develop and sell a full sized MX/enduro bike? Seems like the next logical step for them. Perhaps they're waiting for next gen batteries to come out to allow a better power to weight ratio.

    Varg charging from generator.

I agree with this strategy. I liked the B&S Q6500 for my Alta, its now my home backup power generator. Ps: so many maths in these posts, Lol.

History being made with @jackbrunell155 taking the first Arenacross Victory in Round 2 of @arenacrossuk + taking the championship lead

The inevitable has started, Lol: "Stark Future’s Jack Brunell scored an emotional win in the Traxxas Pro main event win tonight at Manchester’s packed-out AO Arena for round 2 of the 2024 British Arenacross Championship" .

    Dealership delivery

There is no "Stark" process for this as far as I can see. Stark isn't proactively working on any work arounds to get bikes in the hands of the early order peeps who are in the states where the direct to consumer sale bikes cannot be shipped directly to the customers. It appears that if you...

    Dealership delivery

You forgot the part about the bike being advertised as 240 lbs and it then ballooning to 260 lbs. Add in all the other crap you already mentioned and I believe I am due a refund on my deposit. I upheld my end of the deal, Stark did not, not even close. Requested a refund, it was refused...

    Dealership delivery

Stark has significantly ramped up production in the last few months. There was a video released recently talking about it, I forget how many bikes a day they are currently producing and that number is supposed to be increasing. I also suspect they have been getting a fair amount of order...

    Throtle Problem Alta

I'm no expert on Alta issues, but if it's your throttle, I believe there were 3 different types of throttles put on the Altas over the years. Liquid Performance on ebay has this model, note the connector style: Alta Motors THROTTLE ASSEMBLY, OVERMOLDED [2100664-04] | eBay. Liquid Performance...

AMA and Electric Motorcycles in AMA races

The AMA has been a joke for years. I stopped wasting my membership money with them years ago and now support my local off-road organizations that actually fight for trail access and get things done like partnering with gov't and other trail user groups to maintain existing trails, and open new...

    Some info regarding US orders/deliveries

I got that email and was like what the heck? Trailsaver! Who packs a hatchet to do trail work? Does it come with a black hipster mock turtleneck too? Whip it out after you pull up to the trailhead in your Cybertruck? Lol. Trail work: a machete, yep, folding Silky saw, definitely, small chain...

    No doubt.

    Fly Like An Eagle

Ouch, my nuts are aching from here, Lol. And am I seeing it right? Looks like the rear wheel is not spinning, or even freewheeling when he lands? If the rear brake is on, he's effectively levering the front end into the ground when the bike lands. Not the best technique.

    Some info regarding US orders/deliveries

That's the latest rub for the early order peeps. Wait on your early order bike at the original price and get it who knows when? Or cough up the coin for a higher priced bike and get it within a few weeks? That's a good idea to offer that dealership allocated inventory to the early order...

Kove E-MX e-dirt bike at Milan Motor Show

I think its already happening. I just wish it was a flood that included OEM (KTM, Yamaha, Honda, etc) offerings that are full sized, modern frames & geometry, KYB like suspension, 200-240 lbs, 50+ miles range of mountain single track/full moto race, priced at $10k or less. Like the Stark was...

    Dealership delivery

These guys are killing me. Just got this email. Why wouldn't they just allocate any new ramped up production bikes to the next customers in the original order line? Looks like they're trying to be helpful, but instead are shooting themselves in the foot. Again. Who's running things there?! I...

    Some info regarding US orders/deliveries

I realize that. But there are way more orders for the Varg then there are existing sales for Sur Ron's in the US I would wager. I'm not sure the OEM's and traditional motorcycle dealerships consider the Sur Ron's serious competition yet. Most of them don't sell them and seem oblivious to the...

    Some info regarding US orders/deliveries

I wonder if the Chinese bikes are "flying under the radar", or using some other loophole to ship direct to consumers? Perhaps the OEM's and dealers in the USA do not see the Chinese bikes as serious competition so they have not been raising a stink about them? But for the Varg, they see the...

    Some info regarding US orders/deliveries

I find it amazing, and completely baffling, that Stark apparently did not do their homework, or any homework, around what the regulations/laws are regarding selling and delivering customer bikes in the USA (and I assume other countries?) in probably their BIGGEST MARKET. And that they were...

    Some info regarding US orders/deliveries

It really is a bummer. Stark is losing a lot of good will from early adopters and the folks they need the most, experienced e-dirt bike enthusiasts.
