The big Stark Varg supermoto information topic

I got the Stark MX and some Beta 2 strokes. Some while ago i found the joy of SM riding on karting circuits. Done 2 ''track days'' now. However still on the 21-19 with streettyres (Avon Trailrider). I got a good offer on a set of 17' 3.50 and 5.00 wheels that not only fit my Stark, but also my...

    Portable charger

Yess and no. For commuting that would be a significant win. However for Enduro riding that would be too exposed for my liking but more imporantly it is taking real estate my butt wants and needs in Enduro.

    Portable charger

Well what is considerable? I think 1 or even 0,8 kW could make it a viable commuter for me. That would also make trips with overnight stay in cabins possible without needing to haul the huge charger around.

    Portable charger

Would be great if there was one with a form factor that could fit under the fairings somewhere.

    Varg Weights

I think you got your units mixed up. 110 kg is 242lbs. Stark Varg MX is 118kg (260 lbs) or 122kg (268 lbs) with tubes that hold. A 18 - 26 lbs weight gap instead of over 50... Add to that a lower center of mass, less rotational force and no free liquid moving about on top of the bike and it...

    Varg Weights

We're comparing a MX with an Enduro. Comparing to a YZ would be more fair and that sucks harder at enduro stuff.

    Varg Weights

Speaking for the MX. The stock front fork is quite stiff on both compression and rebound. Thus making it hard to lift te front. It's an MX bike and wheeliing over stuf wasn't their main concern.

    Stark Varg Stolen 4-27-2025

Sorry to hear! So you know wich parts are locked? Just the VCU or are the Battery and Drivertrain also disabled now?

    NACS or CCS Varg charging

Yes but that won't help. The AC chargers still need the Stark charger. Only DC chargers could be made working with the Stark as is.

Here is my major rub with Stark.

Not that i know of. And if so they last way longer than 2 or 4 stroke MX bikes. Sure 3500 is a lott. But so is 3x 1800...

Here is my major rub with Stark.

So far customer support has been great for me. However i feel the same and at the same time don't. What fails on an EV motor are the bearings (wich any idiot can replace) of the windings go bad. The latter i would have a shop rewinding. They do sell the countershaft and all parts related. But...

    2025 KTM Freeride E

True. If the EX had an onboard charger it would replace my MX and my Zero DS (commuter bike). That way i would have allready ordered it, but as it stands now it's a bit too hard pill to swallow for the extra i get. My workdays are 8 hours. Even a 900W charger would suffice. So yeah if the KTM...

I very much agree the Stark EX needs a onboard charger or room to take one with you.

    Do our Vargs actually, "regen"?

It was a very long pull and saw 3%. We don't actually have downhills where i live. But was very much a test whether it was possible anyway, not something practical. However in the Balkans i did ride some routes with very very very long street downhills. If i were to extrapolate this i could...

    2025 KTM Freeride E

And the Freeride is just a very sorry excuse of a bike for it's price. It almost matches the Stark in price, but isn't even in its shades with performance. It just barely outperforms an UltraBee, but is a multitude more expensive. While the UltraBee also is way lighter. I just don't see its...

    Do our Vargs actually, "regen"?

My test is about as good as yours, but i saw a rise in percentage.

    Do our Vargs actually, "regen"?

It does recharge. But with you slowing down more due to engine braking you also need to do more accelerating, wich actually concumes more power.

Tarrifs...How will they affect Stark Varg EX pricing?

I have to say that both pro and against Trump posters here have been very decent in their posts. Far more civilized than the politicians have managed! That's something rare regarding politics and i think that deserves some appreciation of it's own.

Tarrifs...How will they affect Stark Varg EX pricing?

Tarifs sure have their uses. In Trumps position with his goals and why people voted for him i would use them too. Just in a, you know, more nuanced way. In a situation where the other country's can produce let's say 20% cheaper. You might add 10% tarifs on that country or product group. Then...

Tarrifs...How will they affect Stark Varg EX pricing?

I agree from a US standpoint you should do something about that trade deficit. And having a solid production base is a good start. The best way to get that is to get companies investing on your soil. The "best" way to do that imo is to offer them a stable political and economic environment...
