    Half sized race battery?

They made it much simpler, just removing 1/4 of the cells keeping identical voltage, thermal management is identical, you lose 1/4 of power (so you "only" get 60 hp), lose 1/4 range, lose 7 kg (Molicel P45b cells weight 70 g each). Going from OP demand, with half the cells you get 40 hp, half...

    2025 KTM Freeride E

Could they really be taking their Freeride E seriously? Husqvarna "freeride" possibly on the cards. If they bother to do that maybe that'll be a real effort. https://enduro21.com/en/bikes/latest/husqvarna-hint-at-new-electric-enduro-bike-for-2025

AMA and Electric Motorcycles in AMA races

Some racing news Podium for Irsuti in France SX tour SX2 Podium for Taddy at his first indoor race (2-1-5 for Taddy B against 1-5-1 for Jonny Walker on his first race as a Triumph rider) Now that'd make things interesting to see him and Karlsson racing Endurocross and Superenduro whenever...

    Deals on Starks?

Yes, I've also mentioned it in another thread, now it's the official price in Europe and plenty of dealers apply the new prices in the US it obviously comes directly from Stark. https://electricdirtriders.com/threads/varg-production-numbers-vin.3551/page-4#post-40715 It also applies to models...

    Half sized race battery?

Zero motorcycles is offering up to 17 kWh batteries (upgradable to 21 kWh!) on their street bikes. Obviously we're talking street bikes over 200 kg, just to say that there is some margin to go for Stark for their road models.

    Half sized race battery?

They already kinda did that for Thomas Do racing France SX tour in 2023. He said that for the last 2 rounds they got him a lighter battery. They had probably removed 1 of the 4 parallel sets of 100 cells in series, so same voltage, maximum power reduced to 60 hp (reduced torque as well) and you...

    2025 KTM Freeride E

They're maybe lobbying that it's dangerous to race E against ICE (which is obviously BS since it wasn't dangerous to race the Alta or the Freeride in AMA Endurocross and FIM superenduro, and also dozens of countries are allowing the Varg to race). They won't necessarily need to change their...

    2025 KTM Freeride E

Thanks for your insight. Regarding KTM (and Honda and others), maybe they're just stalling it until they get ready for E racing, like MXEP starting in 2026?

    2025 KTM Freeride E

You're right, they're not competing for the same market, they're probably not aiming for 80 hp. At least we'll see how much they increase the battery capacity, should be pretty easy given improvement by suppliers. Also watching overall weight and price, now that the Varg alpha is at 12 000 €. A...

    Inverter Overheating?

FYI $3500 is the powertrain price if you buy it from Stark.

    2025 KTM Freeride E

Barely an update in 10 years, let's see if KTM are becoming more serious about this. For the record, the current "2nd generation" freeride specsheet is 24 hp, 3.9 kW, 111 kg, 13 000 € I'd be very surprised if it's even remotely close to the Varg performance but I'd love to be wrong. Official...

    Varg production numbers / VIN

Now for new orders foot brake is an extra 200 €, selecting 60 hp is not possible anymore, and 2000 € reduction is finally on Stark website. For bikes in stock or made to order, 80 hp is 12 000 €. Just for Europe for now but I guess they'll stick to identical prices everywhere so should appear...

    Deals on Starks?

You know what's really odd about this $3000 rebate? Stark don't advertise it, nor even acknowledge it's existence, on its website and social media. Many dealers in various countries offer this, although price didn't change for made-to-order, it has to come directly from them.

Supermoto is probably the worst use case, I'm curious to see what they come up with to mitigate this for their road legal Supermoto.

Another subtle change, for bikes made to order you now only have 3 suspension choices: Soft (140-165 lbs), medium (165-200 lbs) and hard (200-225 lbs). They cut it down from 7 to 3 choices, which honestly makes a lot of sense for logistics. Think about it, initially they had 3 colors, 7...

Questions: Track & Trail set-up. Charging & Transport.

Absolutely, if your usual rides are anything like the loop in Stark latest enduro range vid, amateur and beginner riders got 50 km/30 miles (from 100 to 0!), that was between 2 and 3 hours of riding. https://electricdirtriders.com/threads/stark-range-video-s.3780/#post-40530

    Varg production numbers / VIN

Intriguing, estimated delays for new orders have substantially increased: 2 months for Europe and 4 months for US and Australia. A couple of months ago it was about 2 weeks for Europe. Could be issues at the factory... or they could be building up stock of the incoming new models before launch...
