    New Stark Discounts/Stock Tube Issues

Not how it looks on their website, for Europe if you order now for a configuration not in stock, you get delivery for Christmas and the price is still 12 000 €.

    2025 KTM Freeride E

If you're referring to Bryan Haskell Dyno vid they only showed power, not torque, if it's another one can you find the link? I took final drive ratio value of 3.6, should be the same than 51:14 sprocket ratio, am I missing something?

    2025 KTM Freeride E

Thanks, I guess the only proper comparison between ICE and electric would be torque at the rear wheel (with standard gearing) but I didn't have much luck looking for numbers for 450s. Although this article says "32.9 lb.-ft [45 Nm] of torque at the rear wheel"...

    2025 KTM Freeride E

Freeride torque is 37 Nm (at the countershaft or rear wheel?) Varg torque is 275 Nm at the countershaft, 938 Nm at the wheel. I think typical 4 stroke 450 torque is around 45-50 Nm at the wheel, 250 is more like 30 Nm.

AMA and Electric Motorcycles in AMA races

I'll say that this part "The FIM reserves the right to update the EOT/BOP at its discretion (and at any time) in the case of an imbalance. In case of dispute, the decision of the FIM Technical Director is final." does not exactly inspire confidence nor encourages manufacturers to develop...

2 strokes up to 255cc, 4 strokes up to 455cc, no minimum weight Here are the rules for balancing performance in FIM superenduro ttps://www.fim-moto.com/en/documents/view/2025-0-superenduro-electric-eot-bop-v-18092024 Do not worry, they have thought of other limitations "maximum torque...

    2025 KTM Freeride E

Well it's a gen3 update, definitely not a new model, gained 2 hp, 1.6 kWh. 25 HP, 5.5 kWh, 111 kg so still a trail bike and not a competitor for the Varg. It was previously priced around 13 000 € but if they can be really aggressive with the price they could get some success. Trail bike...

AMA and Electric Motorcycles in AMA races

Electrics restricted to 48 hp and minimum 123 kg in FIM superenduro. No such restrictions for ICE obviously. That's beyond ridiculous, the FIM and Superenduro organizers are basically assuming that the Varg would wipe out their competitors if they were not restricted. All that before their...

    New Stark Discounts/Stock Tube Issues

    Here in France 2025 SX450F: 12 450€ 350: 12 129€ 250: 11 819€ So the Varg is now slightly cheaper than 450SXF and slots in between the 350 and 250.

    New Stark Discounts/Stock Tube Issues

Hell yeah you're right, I tried with VAT number from random company and the price drops. Also means they adjust their own price in each EU country to keep identical price all over EU (with different VAT rates). I was completely wrong that's 12 k€ VAT included so that's now pretty competitive...

    New Stark Discounts/Stock Tube Issues

Yes they did that recently about the same time as new pricing. There used to be an option from the app to "buy" Alpha mode for a little over $1000/1000€, not sure if that's still there. This makes me moderately hopeful that they're getting away from this horrible trend of "software as a...

    New Stark Discounts/Stock Tube Issues

Edit: nope, just no, I got it all wrong, thanks Theo. I guess this part was right no one advertises vehicle prices without VAT here 🫣 I wish. Europe price is 11 999 € without VAT but I agree Stark website does not make that really clear (switch countries with different VAT and total is still...

    New Stark Discounts/Stock Tube Issues

US price is actually really cheap! $11 000 is about 10 100 €. Official price for Europe is 12 000 €. Might as well import one back from the US 🤣

    New Stark Discounts/Stock Tube Issues

Yeah I understand early adopters being a bit sorry for themselves although overall it can only be a good thing to have more affordable bikes. Another thing to consider is the unparalleled 2 years warranty covering all the issues that appeared, especially for early batches. Also, the Varg gets...

    Varg production numbers / VIN

When you go to "Stark dealers" on Stark website, you can see their expanding dealer network (365 for now including 120 in the US). I've just noticed that you can also see detailed Varg inventory from every single dealer, that's pretty cool.

AMA and Electric Motorcycles in AMA races

At last, great news from the FIM (who to this day have not explained the last minute change of rules from one year ago): https://enduro21.com/en/racing/latest/superenduro/electric-motorcycles-will-race-2024-2025-fim-superenduro-world-championship Now that electrics are allowed to race FIM...

    Half sized race battery?

Wow this guy is insane 😆 Definitely the good kind of insane but 4 hours video 🫣 He's the anti-influencer, super interesting content, poor video skills. I mean , even the summary is over 20 min, youtube is not a good platform for that. Unfortunately that will limit his reach a lot, if videos are...

AMA and Electric Motorcycles in AMA races

Interesting to see Taddy go for the LHRB, frees his feet entirely to do whatever he needs to go over the obstacles. Karlsson uses hand brake as well, seems to be a clear advantage for enduro. I think all SX/MX official Stark riders kept the RFRB they have always been using. Edit: all SX/MX...

    Half sized race battery?

Damn, now I want this Varg trail bike with extended range! Add 50% more battery to get to 10 kWh (+14 kg), put in an onboard charger (+6 kg?), add some lights and accessories to make it road legal, if it stays below 145 kg / 320 pounds, the game is on.
