    stark varg ex supermotard

You may be hard pressed to find a 36t rear sprocket, which is what you would need to match a 15/45 combo if the EX only has a 12t front sprocket option. And, for sure, you would have to shorten the chain. With all the torque and HP that the Varg electric motor produces, I'm a little surprised...

    stark varg ex supermotard

Hmmmm, you say that Stark only offers... a "12-tooth size", for the OEM spec' EX version front sprocket? That's very interesting. For the Varg Alpha 80, all I ever saw offered by Stark was 13, 14, & 15 tooth versions. Of which I have them all. Currently I run 13t front and 49t rear (note: KTM...

    stark varg ex supermotard

Then you will also want the large front sprocket. 15t is about as big as you can go without serious modification. And even then, you have to massage the internals of the sprocket cover just a bit. No, I have not pulled any high-speed runs on my 17/17 setup yet. I had barely gotten those wheels...

    stark varg ex supermotard

I run a 15t/45t sprocket combo when I use my SM wheels. Be aware that the chain guides will wear quicker when you run smaller rear sprockets.

    Varg CA Green Sticker

Well that's interesting, I guess I'll just wait and see if I get a similar notice. It wouldn't be the first time that CA DMV will have done that to me. I purchased an Aprilia SXV550, had it for 3 months. It was inspected by local DMV, plated, insured, all legal paperwork was done. Then I...

    Setup for the height-challenged

Even though I would not necessarily be considered "height challenged" (at a tick over 6' tall with a 34" inseam), I can still wholeheartedly agree that the Varg seat height can be a challenge in certain situations. My 300XCW was very similar (if not close to exactly the same) and it too, was a...

    Reduce Drag Stark

Hmmm... I was assuming the OP was referring to the bike being as-ridden. Yes, my rear wheel spins like a top without a chain attached!

    Favorite mx regen

I run with mode #1 50hp/10%, mode #2 50hp/25% and mode #3 50hp/50%. I tend to spend most of my time in mode #3.

    Reduce Drag Stark

I too experienced this and shared the same concern when my Varg was new. My assumption was/is that most of it is due to the direct drive to the electric motor as well as the mechanical advantage of the gear reduction. There is no separation of the drive from the driven wheel like there is when...

NEW! STARK VARG EX is here!

Kind of sad, UK. You can't stop for a single second, to listen and recognize what a group of enthusiastic, logical, proactive and intelligent folks are trying to help you understand. This, is a movement. But even more specific than that, this is a recognized and accepted effort to deliver a true...

    Varg CA Green Sticker

My CA green sticker came in the mail yesterday. A little less than 3 months after the bike arrived.

NEW! STARK VARG EX is here!

Moderators - Can we please get some "thumbs down" emojis? Seems like some of the responses here are absolutely deserving of such. I think U Kan agree that it should be at LEEast an option.

    Varg charging from generator.

As long as the generator is capable of single phase 220v at 16A, you should be fine, the factory charger will work. And, I applaud you for your willingness to cross state lines to make it happen ;)

    Varg Weights

So... there's a riding technique that I use, and have used, for large or elevated obstacles. Back in my observed trials days we called it, the "jab-snap". Ahead of you, you see the obstacle. Then you, clutch/throttle/wheelie/momentum, the front wheel into the obstacle which compresses both...

    Varg Weights

:ROFLMAO: My wife's an old hippy and I've got that kinda shit all over the house. Makes for decent (soft, warm) knee protection from the concrete. Sorry about that, it's gotten to the point where I don't even see it anymore.

    Varg Weights

@rayivers Thank you SO much for chiming in! Any info helps and your's certainly was an effort that will be factored in - cheers! Along the lines of what you had done, I too am trying other things to help offset this. One thing in fact is by moving central bio-mass rearward. I've made up a set...

    Varg Weights

There's been some discussion about how the Varg seems to be more difficult to loft the front wheel at will. And, in all honesty, I too find this to be a phenomena related to the Varg, regardless of the mapping/power selections. I don't claim to know much more about that than anyone else, but it...
