    Code 36 service required???

One more Code 36 and the four of you should be able to find some beat-up MXR/EXR and harvest its 4 battery "modules". The rest of the bike can be sold for parts, or put together and sold as one " Code 36" bike. Perhaps @TonyWilliams or someone with Alta connections will buy it. This may not be...

Hot Foot Alta Redshift Front Chain Sliders are here!

To order: Sent an email to ____________________________________________________________________ This week Hot Foot @racer726 mailed me a pre-production sample of the Front Chain Slider to try out. It didn't make it here in time for my morning practice, but I found it in my mailbox as soon as I...

Attention in the pits! Clake LHRB inserts alert!

If you remember using a wrench on your insert to turn it about 1 full revolution, then you should be okay. With a shorter insert, the O-ring will not get compressed, the insert won't seal, and the brake fluid would first attempt to seep through the threads. If it can't, then it will push out...

Attention in the pits! Clake LHRB inserts alert!

Turns out Clake makes shorter Brembo rear master cylinder inserts than what the Redshift master cylinder uses. I happened to end up with one of them. If a shorter insert is used in a LHRB kit, the brake fluid pressure would leak past the o-ring and push out the Brembo master cylinder sight...

    New warning

Derek Dorresteyn mentioned a few times that Alta has a different power delivery and therefore needs a different suspension tuning. Until now we only had some anecdotal evidence of Alta having more traction in certain situations. But I think this plentiful roost finally confirms what Derek has...

    2019 NE 24hr Challenge July 20th & 21st 2019, Team AltaOwnersForum.com is Official!

I think a 4-man team is a bare minimum for Alta bikes. If the bike takes 1.5 hours to charge and 45 minutes to discharge, then we need to have two bikes charging at all times while the 3rd bike is racing and the 4th is getting ready.

I can bring a grill. It's a Weber medium-sized charcoal grill, round, I think 22" in diameter. Didn't we have a Google Sheets spreadsheet somewhere with all the required supplies to bring? It would be handy to track who is bringing what.

SoCal Alta Ride Day at Cahuilla Creek MX

I didn't go with the 1080p for this exact reason. There is a list of formats that YouTube likes, and the GoPro's default 1080p wasn't one of them. I just searched and I couldn't find that info right away. My info is at least 3 years old though, so maybe things have since changed.

SoCal Alta Ride Day at Cahuilla Creek MX

I think you might be using a frame rate or a resolution that YouTube does not fully support. I use 760 at 60fps. It helps to keep the picture from getting fuzzy at riding speeds.

I'm locked in to race Supercross Futures at Anaheim 2!

For supercross I'd definitely relalve it and also install a 63 N/mm rear spring and add 20-40 cc of oil and air pressure to the fork.

SoCal Ride Day - Cahuilla Creek MX - Wednesday, December 19th, 2018.

Bryan, you were wondering why my bike was quieter. I first said that it was because I have a taller gearing, so the motor does not spin as fast, and the chain does not move as fast. But I just also remembered that I have an o-ring chain. That chain makes a lot of difference at low speeds, but I...
