I think for a balanced appearance the rear fender needs to be chopped off, like on the Ronnie Mac's bike. And a shortened version of the front fender should be added back.

With the ability to read and adjust the power many-many times per revolution a flywheel should be unnecessary. Alta already has a "virtual flywheel", so I am not sure why a physical one was necessary. Perhaps for very-very slow starts. Like when you are stuck on an uphill.

Very cool! I too started riding this bike at every opportunity. I never enjoyed trail riding, but with this bike it became as pleasant and relaxing as meditation.

Here is what I have in my stable. Three bikes, all on center stands that are 430mm tall. The F and R numbers are clearances under the Front and Rear tires:
2018 Alta MXR - F102mm R27mm = 64.5mm average
2005 CRF250 -- F82mm R15mm = 48.5mm average
1995 CR250 --- F5mm R112mm = 58.5mm average...
Chad Reed is awesome. Like RC said, he does not have any weak points. Recently it has been his fitness though. But riding an electric is easier, just point and twist (LOL!), so he should be very competitive!
