Owner's Review MXR in single track

Yep. Once the range doubles or triples, there will be no need for ICE dirt bikes. They will become rare exotics. They will be cool again - retro cool.

Putting a dollar amount on a charge

Perhaps there are also some small inefficiencies involved, but I do not have a practical experience to estimate them. We are all learning how to switch from fueling up our bikes to charging them.

    Decal Kits for the Alta

Yep. Mark is a retired rocket scientist. He always has secret motorcycle projects going. Before we know it, he will probably come up with a rocket fuel powered Alta.

Putting a dollar amount on a charge

The Redshift"s battery is rated at 5.8 kWh. So, multiply that by the electricity rate and you will get $1.20 - 3.00 per full charge.

    Decal Kits for the Alta

I think it's time to create a special Decals and Graphics sub-forum. You guys just seem to not want to spend any upgrade money on pipes, hot cam, or clutch purchases. Here you go: Decals and Graphics I will be moving the related threads there shortly.

    Decal Kits for the Alta

Yes, this is @Mark911 's bike. I like it too. Hope he does not get offended, but I would replace the burgundy with some other color.

Fod Dancing With His New Alta & Rear Shock Issues

My both Rebound and Low-Speed Compression are fully in. I did not touch the High-Speed Comp, so I am not even sure where it is. The rear end still feels underdamped, but it is so freaking predictable that I do not mind. Lower damping is better traction, that's all. I may decide to add a couple...

    2018 Alta MXR Shock Re-Spring and Re-Valve

I was dragging those footpeg mounts in the ruts today, and the ruts weren't even that deep.

Very nice! Wish my number was a fat single digit one.

Fod Dancing With His New Alta & Rear Shock Issues

My rear shock seems fine. I was surprised that the hard landings that have done today were actually relatively soft, especially when taking into account the apparent lack of the low-speed shock damping.

Mine is one step down from the longest -- a 159" wheelbase but no "Maxi" 2-foot extension. It has a 12x6' cargo floor space. I can sleep in it across the floor, if I want to. FWD with a 3.6L Chrysler minivan engine and transmission, about 16mpg. Not the Sprinter diesel's fuel economy, but I...

Questions from a potential owner #2

My 2017 MX was upgraded with white plastic. The 2018 MXR is all white. You can peel off or Photoshop away all the little color accents that it has to see how it would look all white.

Mine is Ram ProMaster. It is a bit more spacious and cheap.

My MX does everything very well, but OMG! The MXR does EVERYTHING better, for certain. I can feel the 6 lbs weight reduction, a bit more power, but what I liked the most was the MXR suspension! I hate to admit it, but the stock MXR suspension is a little better than my revalved MX suspension...

Fod Dancing With His New Alta & Rear Shock Issues

I do not know if my MXR rear shock clickers working. I turned in both screws all the way it and it feels fine for now.

Nice Sprinter! (y) No big deal, you probably pressed the Insert Full Image button twice. You can delete the extra images just like you delete text -- Backspace button, select and Delete, select and type over.

I will be giving the MXR a thorough test in about half an hour.
