    Dust Moto

They are not trying to be a better Surron. If they are smart, they would be trying to imitate the 125cc riding experience. This bike should be able to jump and land just like any full-size dirt bike without bottoming or breaking the frame. But with the KTM Freeride WP suspension, I think they...

    Dust Moto

I did some googling. They are located in Bend, OR. The founders are pretty legit with good industry experience. They are also extremely transparent about what they are doing and why. Lots of interesting stuff if you scroll down on their main page. Also, here is a good personal post from the...

Media Review AJ Catanzaro - Best bike I have ever ridden 9.9/10

It is strange that AJ got arm pump. Shouldn't he be riding one-handed??? :ROFLMAO:

    Battery is dying so fast...

I used to ride four 10-minute sessions at my local MX tracks on each of my two Altas. Recently, it has been only three sessions on each. I like to tell myself that these are not the batteries getting a shorter range but me becoming faster. In my defense, I noticed that I keep the throttle pinned...

    Wing Seats

I went to my third AJ Catanzaro class a couple of weeks ago at Cahuilla Creek Raceway in SoCal. We had another one-handed riding session, which was cool. AJ says that if you are having difficulty riding one-handed, you are doing something wrong. He claims he can jump any jump one-handed. You...

    Battery Build

Yes, for the DIY market cost is also a big factor. That's not necessarily true. You can keep the BMS hooked up to the battery at all times but use it for charging only. This way you will retain all the battery monitoring and balancing. In fact, you can have the BMS power not the motor but just...

EM Factor-E Trials: 4-speed transmission, Flywheel, and Clutch

Things like that happen very-very rarely. This year we are extremely lucky to have three established motorcycle manufacturers who decided to venture into the motocross market: Beta, Triumph, and Ducati. I do not remember this happening before in my lifetime. Motocross is prospering! New...

AJ Catanzaro rides the Stark Varg

It is interesting how he completes the corner while standing up but then sits down for ~0.8 seconds in order to accelerate. Then he lets the bike kick him up to stand up again. He wheelies through almost half of the straight! He pumps his legs while wheelying in order to maintain the wheelie...

    Battery Build

That's what @DonCox does. I am thinking, without more sophisticated electronics than a simple BMS, it is safer to let the battery drain low and feel the gradual reduction of power rather than let the BMS kill your bike completely (or partially in case of multiple BMS/batteries). A typical BMS...

    MX14 80/120-19

I have one of these, waiting to be installed when there is a need for it. On the Alta, the tire-fender clearance has been an issue with most rear tires. I run my rear wheel closer to the back end of the swing arm slot. Let me know how it works on the Varg!
