I believe mine (Hopefully) was the battery getting down to 20% of power in map 4. Went into conserve mode. I don’t think it was a overheating problem. Will try to duplicate it next time out.

It’s a Alta piece only the chain block is KTM. I already talk to Kevin at Alta about it. I think the fix might be a small piece of rubber between the slider and swing arm.

What size gearing is on your 250xc 2t? I know its lower gearing. I suggested the bigger sprocket because with the torque of this motor I think it will turn the rear wheel slower, creating more traction and down force. With the gearing you have 13/50 is like going is like going down 7 teeth on...

I would like to see what would happen if you went back to a 53 rear and try it on the same trail. I think the bigger rear socket might give you more down force on the wheel so more traction.

Mark911 I don’t know if this helps I road my MXR at Gorman MX track in map four at a good pace (not at race pace) for 42 minutes with no limiting of power. I believe a descent intermediate or local pro would have no problem with a 20 minute Moto. I did have my bike go into limited horse power...

Had a warning light come on today 👎 The read out said Max Horsepower Limited. Still two bars on the battery. I don’t know if it was caused by heat, was riding it pretty hard. Any suggestions ?

A simple fix might be to put two flat washers on the back bolts between the fender and the bottom triple clamp. We use to do this to adjust the front fender. Just check the clearance of the back of the fender.

Map 3 has a little more wheel spin, quicker off the bottom and you can get a nicer Wheelie out of the bike. You are right that maps 2&3 at top speed is harder to tell.

My hole point was to learn the feel of each map just like what each gear feels like on a gas bike. Has nothing to do with how fast one goes. Once you get the feeling in your seat (ass) you will know what map you are in.

You guys crack me up all you need to do is leave it in maps 4 and learn to control it with your right hand 🤚😂 Go out and practice in each map you can learn the feel of each map and that way you know which map you are in. It’s a lot like asking which gear you on in on a gas bike?

I am working with Bryan at N2Dirt right now on some base line suspension setting for the MXR. Will let you know how it’s coming along.
