    Re-sealing the battery

Also, do not let the bottom cover be out in the open long. It has a desiccant package, which would become useless if exposed to the ambient humidity for too long. I kept my entire bottom cover in a large Ziploc bag while working on the battery.

    Re-sealing the battery

Sorry, I have no installation pics, but if you have the right tools, the job will be pretty simple. All you need it a properly sized butyl tape. The R-pack battery uses a butyl sealant on the bottom cover. The A-pack, apparently, uses it on the top cover as well. I lucked in and bought exactly...

MotoE's Future Goes Up in Flames

Some of those e-racing series should hire Carmen Electra as a spokesperson or something.

Talk me into buying an Alta. Talk me out of buying an Alta.

Code 36 is when a tiny wire is not connected to one of the 504 battery cells. Riding in maps, or riding more, or riding less won't un-weld a wire. If it was welded well in the first place, then it will stay welded. If a used MXR had the latest firmware installed for a while, and it still...

    Alta kit bike

I am curious to know how many millions of dollars and years Alta Motors has spent developing, testing and revising the frame...

MXR dead this morning... (and now alive!)

Sort-of. I hadn't touched the kill switch ever before, I didn't see the need do. But on the morning when the bike was almost fully charged, I turned off the power switch on the yellow GCFI unit first. This is the only thing that I remember doing differently than before.

    [Interest Check] AOF Hats

I love it! I would take a black one, but my head it too big. Very few of one-size-fits-all hats fit me. Do they have sizes, and if no, how big are they? I usually buy XL and sometimes 2XL helmets.

    An alternate battery pack

Yep, they can afford a 20% weight gain or a 20% range loss if the company has no ambitions of making their bike competitive. But we have a Zero for that already.

    An alternate battery pack

I am skeptical because of this statement. If they are asking for just a sample battery pack, they are way underestimating its complexity. It is not just a box with batteries. It has a built-in battery controller, other controllers and relays, and a multi-pin connector that sends voltages and...

MXR dead this morning... (and now alive!)

If I did anything wrong, that would be the way I turned it off. Please write down the proper charger disconnect procedure.

Austin Forkner kissed a tropy girl

I think Monster, YouTube and Google deleted all the evidence that this has ever happened.

Austin Forkner kissed a tropy girl

Austin Forkner won the race, got the trophy on the podium, and... kissed a trophy girl. Outrageous in 2019!!! Can't do that!!! Trophy girls should be looked at, and not too closely, and never kissed. But he got away with it, apparently, because she is his actual girlfriend, not just a random...

LOL! I don't think the laptop would work either.

    One-man battery removal setup

That video looks like a recipe for dropping the battery. I think it is safer to sit under the bike, hold the battery with both hands, and lift it with your knees.

Want to setup the bike for my weight.

@Geci -- First check if you have a MXR Rear Shock v.1 or v.2 If you have v.1, then you need to revalve the shock. Sent it to N2Dirt ot KTM World. If you have v.2, then revalving is not your first, and not even a second priority. First set the race sag to 90mm. This seems to be a safe setting...

Also, the largest air gap that 350 VDC can jump is just 0.001". You pretty much have to touch a hot high-voltage wire to get zapped. So, do not sit on the bike while working on it, do not touch things with both hands, and be careful with wet things. In my unqualified opinion, if you follow these...

I am not an electrician either, but when working with high voltage I try not to stand in a puddle of water or grab metallic parts with both hands.
