Wow. Sounds to me like you may be getting an MXR upgrade for free. ;) I mean, why not? AFAIK, the battery, the harness, and the controller software is what differentiates the MXR from the MX, powertrain-wise.

They sold him a 64 N/mm spring for some unknown reason. The next step up from the stock 60 N/mm would have been 62 N/mm.

For me it is much easier to do treacherous hill climbs on an Alta, compared to a 2-stroke. But if I had to lift the bike and carry it over the mountain that would be a different story.

I agree, they should. They just might not want to do it for free. Did they revalve your fork as well?

The MX is actually damped very appropriately for the springs. However, the springs are inappropriately soft. So soft that you cannot even hop from anything or jump the whoops. It just soaks them in, if the travel allows, or bottoms out on them, if they are larger than the suspension travel...

They will probably use the latest battery pack and all-custom suspension, at which point nobody will be able to tell the difference between the MXR and the EX.
