Not sure if it's been covered here, but Stark is building 400 military spec bikes and developing Police models too. No wonder investors are jumping, that's a big market.
You are only seeing the tip of the iceberg. I'm super happy with the 15/42 and longer chain all for under $100. Better range and rideability, less wheelspin and more wheelie, even with the axle back as far as it can go for stability. It's also nice to keep the whining motor noise down to a...
SX and MX under AMA Pro racing are dependent upon the OEM's paying for everything, so when they say jump, Feld and MX Sports ask how high. Until they have competitive competitors to the Stark, the door will remain closed, other than exhibition rides. Getting their ass kicked in the showrooms...
In the Stark Future video, filmed from the Denver SX, they had breakfast in Cortez CO, home of Eli Tomac. Could they be planning to get him onboard for the WSX, and persistent statements the Vince Friese is already onboard. This should be fun.
Anybody check to see if the primary gears are cut differently on the 2 models? I don't know what's inside.
straight-cut gears (spur gears) are favored for their efficiency and strength in high-performance applications, while helical gears are preferred for their quieter operation and smoother...
It looks open on the front side and sealed on the back. Not sure which direction the fan blows? It would be interesting to see a smoke test to see how the air flows.
Glad you summarized that, because it's weird science. Looks like the chain is the biggest friction. Luckily as a dirt bike, overheating doesn't seem to be a problem. My fan runs a lot, not sure that means much?
I think Tesla has a more sophisticated cooling method, channeling coolant through heat sinks that the batteries are mounted on? If the Stark is to be a race bike, pushed to the limits on a road track, the current setup won't get it done. A few band aids like better airflow or repositioning the...
Good research. SuperMoto is going to take all the gearing and cooling you can muster up.
So far no problems with tall gearing on MX track and trails at 15/42. Crossing my fingers.
