That makes sense. I have mixed feelings about having an Alta alternative on the market, on one hand I will be able to find parts bikes to keep mine operational cheaper, but on the other hand, my bike will be worth less if I ever decided to sell...

If KTM or Honda just come up with a comparable bike, why would you spend the money to just get what you already have? I have no interest in buying a new bike until there is a substantial increase in performance or range, mostly range. Unless nothing better comes along before I wear my Alta out...

My loading strategy for years was "it's better to be lucky than good"... My equipment consisted of a 4ft tri-fold ramp with open center section to load into a 4x4 pickup. Nearly impossible to walk up at any pace, so I just rode the bike up. Did I mention that it wasn't anchored in any way...

If you need to charge faster than the SM onboard charger will accommodate, the next option is to buy a MXR or EXR and convert the tires and suspension to SM components. Then you can use the offboard rapid charger which will give a full charge in about 1.5 hrs. Might just be cheaper and easier...

The SM does not work with an offboard/rapid charger.

I think placing the screen in about that location has been discussed here before, I don't recall anyone finding a problem with it. However looking at your other modifications, I'm not sure I would recommend that particular placement for the front break caliper.
