Would like to try a 140/80 rear tire (Kenda Gauntlet K779) on my EX. I now use the Kenda Equilibrium which is great for the winter, but looking now for loose dirt + rocks. Suitable tire (gummy). Had to add 2 links to the chain in order to fit the Equilibrium. Anyone tried a 140/80?

I tried the MX fw on my EX. All lights worked as before.

Because of this discussion, I replaced the gear oil today (it was after I accidently submerged the bike, don't ask..). The used oil was grey and creamy. Replaced it with a Liqui-moli 75w. Look at the photo, the difference between the old and new oil is quite striking. I think the creamy color...

I had the same experience & great support from them as well. Revived my EX (BCU fail). I live in Israel & got the assistance from half way around the world. Becaue of this, my bike is in perfect condition.

I also follow this guy's channel (John Howerton), and I actually like him very much. Many of his tips are suitable for the Alta as well. He is really showing what electric dirt bikes are all about. I am all for it.

The 9c battery is only responsible to ignite the start-up sequence. Therefore, I don't think it will shut the bike off once started already.

I wonder how they feel compared to the Rekluse LHRB that I use. Stopping power is not as great as the front Brembo, but the leverage does let you modulate the power delivered until full brake. It has a knob that changes the feel of the brake (how much to press in order to get max power)...

I was also worried about that. This is why ן think, it will be smarter to load only the inverter fw of the SM into the EX. For some reason, both SM and EX use the same inverter fw.

Tried that, but both EX and SM use the same Inverter fw 2.18.7. So where are the different maps located?

Read the notes release of the Erzberg fw and they only note "hill hold" & motor temp different cutoff. Weird
