    EX Custom iOS/Android App

Trip meter is now added and available on iOS, the Android build is still stuck in review but will probably be out sometime this week. Pretty simple, pressing on it gives you an option to reset. Doesn't show anywhere but the dashboard for now.

    EX Custom iOS/Android App

I don’t think the odometer was a feature on MXs until firmware 1.2.8 (or maybe a bit earlier revision, hard to say). I assume Stark realized during the EX development they needed a real odometer to be compliant, and adjusted the motor controller to track individual revolutions and extrapolate...

It’s the total usage. Are you on an MX? And if so do you have a rough idea of how much usage its had?

Yes unfortunetly its still a bit of a complex issue especially when you consider the multi-nationality and jurisdiction of Stark as a company. In Stark's defense I don't think they've ever cancelled someones warranty for something silly, and we don't really know their stance on third party...

    EX Custom iOS/Android App

Well at this point its up to you and how hard you want to play the game of "will Stark help me or void my warranty". Since your coming up on the end of your warranty it might just be worth it to push them harder. I think its reasonable for you to have measured the pack voltage yourself, and...

    EX Custom iOS/Android App

Ah good thinking to check the actual pack voltage, there are no contactors though? I guess those are in the inverter then? This fully rules out any issues with the VCU/BMS or with the app reading incorrect values. Best of luck with your warranty process and keep us updated. If you do end up...

    EX Custom iOS/Android App

I'm not sure how accurate the odometer is on the original MX, I'm guessing older firmware didn't used to track the value although it does seem to increase now. Either way there is probably no good way to determine the actual hours for the bike, or at least if there is we don't have access to it.

    EX Custom iOS/Android App

If you record rides and export them (as STF, not GPX), you can open up the viewer webpage and simply drag/drop the file on there which will display a map and a bunch of graphs you can use for analyising the ride-data, I assume this is what your talking about from my video? The recording mode is...

    EX Custom iOS/Android App

Interesting, thanks for sharing the screenshots. I still don't really understand how this failure mode could even happen, I can understand a single cell going bad but to consistently have two entire cell groups get disconnected seems very suspicious. It's also shocking this displays no errors to...

Maximizing Range for the Stark Varg

Speedo is based on motor spin not GPS, it will be inaccurate if you change gearing or wheels.

Out of curiosity which cell group numbers are they? Also when the percentage drops do you see a notable drop in pack voltage (like it's at 412v and ends up at 410v or 405v after one day) or is it just the percentage? When the bike is on (and maybe in-gear) could you screenshot the BMS+/BMS- data...

    EX Custom iOS/Android App

Glad it ended with a good outcome and that the app ended up being useful. It's fascinating that failure mode exists on the Stark pack and shocking it's not something the app/vcu/bms caught earlier. I don't remember asking but did you use the Stark app at all around the time you noticed the cell...

    EX Custom iOS/Android App

It's on my list to look at, I was at minimum going to have a page in the app that shows the current settings. When I add that I'll look at adding some option for displaying the exact map config on the dashboard.

    EX Custom iOS/Android App

I have a new version pending, should be available for testers in the next few days. EDIT: Build is submitted on both Android & iOS which means we're just waiting for reviews. As always lots of changes under the hood but I've started putting the big-ticket items in the new dedicated changelog...

    Lackluster Cooling System Performance

You should just use the temperature probes the bike already has built in, there are a ton (12 in the battery, 9 across the motor/inverter, and various other individual components which report temp/humidity) and all of its accessible via third-party tools. FWIW 130-140F is extremely low for an...

What do you mean by the pairing message, is that the system prompt or you mean the syncing/connecting splash screen in the app?

    EX Custom iOS/Android App

Ah thats weird, are you sure the Svag app was fully closed out and not running in the background? If it was still running it's possible the Bluetooth connection stayed active which would prevent anything else from connecting. If the headlight/blinkers/etc stopped working though that seems more...

    EX Custom iOS/Android App

It's impossible to say without a VCU firmware dump but the phone app does reference an absolute maximum of 85HP. I don't know if this is actually enabled in the bikes engineering mode or not, but I also don't think the drive-train would be that heavily underrated.

    Do our Vargs actually, "regen"?

60% regen at 3600rpm (down a steep hill) gave me about 1.5-2KW of actual regen to the battery pack. It's definitly not insignificant over a period of time but also compared to the power draw it's basically nothing.
